  1. I said assembly plant, not parts plant. I'm well aware that plants like Livonia don't hire off the street anymore.
  2. All I want is to not be at the bottom of the fucking list anymore, is that too much to ask? Fun fact: every assembly plant has hired new people in the last 4 1/2 years except for one, care to guess which one hasn't? Care to guess which one probably won't any time soon either?
  3. UP has a pretty big hub in Chicago they acquired when they merged with C&NW. CN also has one from their aquisition of Illinois Central. Depending on where the final destination is that could be where UP picks it up.

  7. I remember that article, and I remember thinking at the time it seemed like he was looking for anything he could find to go after Ford and that he was stupid for not taking it to a dealer.
  8. This. Now that Ford is (finally) starting to bring more design in house they need to make sure that shortcuts don't get taken in manufacturing both on their end and on Vendor's ends.

  10. I don't know. He's certainly not a great driver like senior was but he's certainly talented enough to have made it even if his name wasn't Earnhardt.

  12. Good. I still don't see what the big rush is. This is going to be one of those things where first to market probably isn't going to be the best thing. I still don't see what the big hurry is anyway. I personally will always have a hard time allowing a computer to drive me around when I can't even currently trust them to reliably browse the internet.

  14. CSX as a company is a total train wreck (no pun intended) right now. Probably the absolute worst railroad your car could have ended up on.

  19. Ganassi only gets engines from Hendrick. They build their own chassis. There's a rumor on the NASCAR sub Reddit about them maybe going to one of those supposed new OEMs coming in.
  20. I'm not sure it was lack of foresight. As limited as they made the regular RHD versions I'm guessing the capacity limitations had a lot to do with it.
  21. I didn't see a date, but it's kinda irrelevant at this point anyway since anything built before the OK is given is reinspected and repaired if necessary.
