just because it exists in prototype form doesnt mean its being tested as a future product perfect example - when the '05 Mustang was being prototyped, my rowing coach in High School had a Lincoln LS with the front clip of the then new mustang on it (it was camod heavily but it was damn obvious what it was). I'm sure if the magazines had caught photos of it, speculation of a Mustang based Lincoln would have run rampant.

False. Job 1 for 2015 Edge was January 19. Job 1 for 2016 MKX is a week from today. The reason they were all locked at NAIAS is those were pre-production cars. They didn't have many to spare for shows and couldn't afford to risk people stealing stuff out of them (yes it happens, thats why any car with a manual has the shifter knob removed if possible)

There's a shortage of rail cars that has been plaguing the auto industry for several years now, that's probably what the hold up is. As for the production date being pushed back, there's a million different reasons that could happen, especially with an all new model like the edge.

In all seriousness though, this whole "it needs a V8" argument is a little tireing to me. Clearly they didn't sell very many of them in recent years so the market dictated that it's not a necessary option AT THIS POINT. That's not to say that they won't be able to offer one in the future, but for right now, I think the market spoke for itself Oh yeah, by the way, there's a little thing called CAFE standing in the way. Perhaps the feel like pulling back and regrouping is the better long term option.

That's the Titanium grill. IMO, the honecomb of the S and SE trims looks MUCH better. for the record, i HATE the 5 bar pattern of the Titanium grills too.

They have to be careful if they do go with the whole "producing their own Range Rovers" thing. Trying to emulate someone else guarantees nothing. Just look at Cadillac and how well their constant desire to emulate BMW is working out for them.

The biggest improvement between the 14 and 15 focus is the programming of the transmission. Other than that performance is pretty much the same between the two. I would go with the 14 in this scenario though. You're getting more for the $$$$$ (and it really pains me to say that)
