Honestly, the system in my focus is just fine for the most part. I did install a 12 inch sub in the trunk, just because I didn't like how little low end came in the factory speakers. Could I make it thump? Of course, it's a 12 inch subwoofer, but I'm probably the 1 25 year old kid with a sub in the trunk who hates loud ultra bass.

It's funny you should say that, because it immediately made me think of how the Ford owned Detroit Lions has tried to build teams basically all my life. If ROW Ranger is that same size, then Ford is definitely making the right call by keeping it out of NA. Especially if fuel economy is comparable to F-150.

I agree. We finally got around to taking my fiancé's G5 in for the ignition switch recall and I did a quick window gaze on one. It looks decent enough, but holy plastic interior batman! I wonder when GM is going to stop making so cheap looking interior. It's the second biggest complaint I have about the G5, after the way it shifts (can you make a 5 speed that has a stiffer shifter? Sheesh)

You underestimate the elitist attitude of audiopliles. Some would buy a lincoln just on that fact alone, just like some will avoid ford because of Sony.

Debatable. People are starting to see through their ratings too. The mass population looks and see ford at the bottom of the list (only because of MFT being so clunky) yet the worst "rated" products (fusion and escape) are some of their best sellers.

Focus RS. Its a super hot-hatch that they've sold in Europe near the end of the life cycle of the focus. Think ST but with more power

think about how much the taurus platform was updated from 85-07. Not a whole lot and eventually it caught up with ford

No, MAP doesn't produce Escape or MKC, only Focus and C-Max, and despite rumors and My personal theories, it's going to stay that way for a while

Focus hasn't even started transition yet, MY2015 Job 1 is scheduled for Monday. I've said it before and I'll say it again, when comparing Focus with the competition, it's too expensive with not enough features. A base Cruze, Civic and Corolla all have a cheaper base model and come better equipped. I'm not convinced it will be any better in MY2015, especially now with gas prices tanking.

I saw something about a month ago near the Dearborn proving ground under heavy camo following what turned out to be a GT350 (it's pretty obvious in hindsight but I was traveling in the opposite direction and it hadnt been revealed yet) also under heavy camo. It was a similar wheelbase, maybe slightly longer and a little wider. The body was pretty low slung. I wish I could have gotten a better look and a pic or 2 but I was driving in the opposite direction. May have been a mule that came out of pilot

I would look for the typical issues with a manual. Listen for clutch growl, have it inspected and/or replaced if necessary. I have heard of people complaining of a overly stiff clutch pedal, but it doesn't seem to effect performance

It's not even that, it's the BOF construction. Being border patrol that's a big deal, they actually use their cars to stop people and you just can't PIT with a unibody. Unless you really hate your front bumper or have a push bar on it

I know some border patrol agents from the detroit post, they all hate the Chargers. They all say they're faster than the crown Vic until you have to turn. They only just started getting tauruses and explorers, and early reviews are all positive except for the typical Taurus being too cramped complaint we've all heard. The older guys still prefer the crown Vic and all say they will have to pry them from their cold, dead hands

There's rumor of a Lincoln build off of the focus coming in the near future, (it was discussed earlier in this thread), I could also see them deciding to A. give us the Focus RS if/when it comes to NA instead of building it in Europe and B. Having us handle overflow MKC production that Louisville can't handle (from what I understand they're struggling to keep up with both MKC and Escape.)
