  1. Excitement!!! We have a VIN and build week. Nov 11 build week, Veterans Day week. As a Vet I feel this will be a special car. I also have hopes for it to make it home by Christmas. Christmas will already be special this year. My Daughter gets married next month and it will be the first Christmas with all of my children and their spouses together. The Mrs and I have flown to one or the other for Christmas the past 13 years. I'll miss Okinawa, Maui, Tokyo, Atlanta, Cape Canaveral, New York, Pennsylvania, but it will be nice to decorate the house and have everyone home. ?
  2. woohoo, thank you very much, maybe it will be a Christmas gift?
  3. Get her to sit in and drive the Aviator, it drives so much smaller than it looks. Any one buying a Black Label should be helped by a concierge not a salesman. If they act like a salesman, reach out to Lincoln on a social media site or by email. Heck, if you are in range, have them bring it to your house. They have a traveling showroom of materials and paint chips. (I prefer seeing the color on a vehicle). I didn’t like diamond blue on the chip, but that’s what I ordered because it looks good on a full sized car.
  4. Good Morning Mr Cyber Dealer. L22658. Order 777 Any update would be much appreciated Thank You Very Much
  5. Congrats on the new ride, it looks superb...?
  6. There is a touch area lock at the bottom of the keypad, you can lock it from your phone also. The exhaust exiting down should make it appear to be floating on a cloud. we'll see soon.
  7. Every day I drive over the road I made the video of in the other thread I wish I had the Aviator back. Sometimes you don't know what you miss until it is gone. It was not perfect, but the ride was head and shoulders over my other rides.
  8. They will or I'm bringing a pitch fork to the stock holders meeting.
  9. Very True, My last Audi trip was not fun. 200 clams to change my brake fluid at 12,000 miles, manual says 20K or 2 years, it will be 2 years in December. Service agent said it was important for the brake fluid to be changed to prevent brake failure. LoL, wander who buys that crap. I always worry about service, but a GM I have a good history with just became Co-Owner of the Lincoln Dealership, as long as he is there, I'm not worried. I would check out your service department though. Look at their reviews and then just go visit them for a bit. I always watch my first experience with a new dealer no matter how long they say it takes. The drop it off and pick it up doesn't fly. When I'm comfortable, then they can work on it at their leisure. There are issues on the best built cars, it happens. I would only reject or not wait if I were not getting a good deal and know the owner. I have four years to work out the bugs, and they will pick it up. It is not my daily driver so I have that luxury. With Lincoln though you will get a loaner and they pick it up, nothing to worry about for me.
  10. I own my first and last BMW. Nice car for around town, but if you are going over 50 miles, it gets to be uncomfortable. My wifes Audi is the same way.
  11. Might be why David Woodhouse left after creating a master piece. Management wanted it pushed through despite issues with the new equipment and staff to build it. He knew it was going to be ganked up and did not want to be part of it. They will get it right, just might take a minute. If the CAP production coach is reading this forum, remember slow is steady, steady is fast, ask Jamie over at KC about it.
  12. There are some out there, we have a silver one in town, and a white one was sold to ? We are a tiny market. You probably will only see 1 in every 1000 Lincoln buyers participating here. Many view but don't say anything.
  13. No, that is what MT got during testing.
  14. Another bit of information missing is what mode are they testing in, was the battery at full charge, all of these effect timing. I don't think people shopping these are looking for a drag SUV anyhow, just one where a youngster in his Honda Civic needs a lesson in judge your competition carefully.
  15. See above, I recognize the similar trap speeds, but it is a faster vehicle. Other testers will have different trap speeds, some maybe slower. Based on the fact you have a much heavier vehicle putting in a few same numbers and then a larger gap in others, I would think the inherit advantage is there. 23 MPG overall vs 20 MPG is pretty significant also.
  16. I would not focus so much on the Trap numbers, it brakes shorter, has better skid pad numbers, passes quicker, figure 8s faster, is a lot faster in the taller gears. I'd bet a nickel it is tuned to not rush out of the gate to keep Grandma from getting whiplash. The widening gap at higher speeds support that. I'm sure if you want to monkey with the tune, it will launch pretty quick. Another reason to harness that kind of power is to not snap the drive shaft. Launching almost three tons into a 13.8 quarter at over 100mph takes a pretty beefy shaft to start with, applying all that torque would probably take an upgrade.
  17. I've got 90 feet of on ramp to the freeway every time I head south, like to work. It is the shortest on ramp I've come across and I do it every day. Going from 35 to 70 to merge is crazy, especially when the person in front of you panics and stops, then it is 0-70 in about 45 feet. That half second is helpful, but any 0-60 time below 8 is enough oomph.
  18. Lets talk performance: 5838+Lbs and a 13.8 1/4, you think that is not performance? Here are a few "cars" that ran a 13.8 stock 1) 2013 Taurus SHO 2) 2005 Mustang GT 3) 2003 Mustang Mach 1 4) 1971 Mustang Boss 351 5) 1969 Mach 1 6) 1969 Boss 429 Maybe if you stripped out all the luxury it would feel fast. Be assured it is fast enough to pass or accelerate out of a mess, all the while massaging your fanny. I drove a 69 Mach 1 for a while and can tell you a pet rock in the passenger seat could feel the difference in ride. I'm ecstatic as I age, I can go just as fast as I did in the 69 and have my aching bones pampered.
  19. If the paint is that bad, it needs to be returned. I would never take a brand new dealer painted vehicle over factory paint. I just checked and Chicago did update their paint facility this spring when they converted the machinery. The two-wet process is a harder surface and less prone to scratches than a typical paint at a body shop. I know you have been waiting, but they would either replace it or I'd walk away. If they insist on repaint, have them include ceramic coat for free. Maybe they just want you to walk away so they can sell it to someone else. A small fish eye or similar blemish may get through, but needing a repaint, never heard of that on a high end vehicle line THE other thing, when the paint comes in? What kind of body shop is this? My friend has a large rebuild operation and has DuPont paint mixing stations. You only need the color code and about 20 minutes and you can have every paint out there. You open the correct base paint, put it in the machine, put in the code, a few squirts, take out the can, put it on the shaker for a minute, strain into the paint gun and shoot away.
  20. Hmmm, he'd have to show them, not sure if CAP is using two-wet process now, but you only have a primer, then color and clear are shot together. I'd ask for a better explanation, sounds wishy washy. I don't think anyone shoots base coats anymore.
  21. Happy Birthday Sorry about the issues, did he say whether they were factory blemish or handling abuse? I'd look at it before they do anything to it.
  22. The start stop on the Aviator I drove wasn't really noticeable. There are plenty showing up at dealers now, go drive one. I hate it on the Audi, because it is so pronounced at take-off. The Aviator did great though.
  23. Good Morning kind Sir, Could you check for any change this month? Dealer L22658 order D777 Thank You
  24. Perfect example of looking the same at first blush, but 4...6...7 years later at the end of the loan, do you need a new car or is the refinement still there.
  25. Aug 23 was the OKTB target date for the PHEV, not sure if they made it.
