  1. I'm still betting that I won't see mine. Latest BS was that if you're a fleet order you had to sit through an "orientation" before your order could be picked up for production. Something many dealers didn't know about. Anyway, based on the "orientation" I'm not sure the Lightning will work for me.
  2. It's all over the place. $3.29 to 4.49 for regular. Diesel is still $1-$2 more. PNW
  3. It would appear you can no longer add upfitter switches willy nilly like you use to be able to. I'm ordering a 23 F550 XL on the fleet side so we'll see if I get the switches or not. I'm guessing fleet can but I haven't seen an order guide yet. Heck, We'll see if I even get the truck.
  4. At peak times during salmon season, you need to be on your "A" game as there are hundreds of boats launching and/or recovering. If you have to rely on the knob to back up, you're not ready. Most of our facilities are old and small for todays bigger trucks and boats and the sheer numbers. It can be a total Charlie Foxtrot at times. You don't have time to think about it, you just do. 4 or 5 rigs at a time, backing down the ramp in the dark mirror to mirror sometimes. Fun? Not really but it's what it is if you want to fill the freezer. I have yet to see anyone use the feature in a situation like this... Maybe I should try it on our 150 and play with it and see how it works if I take the time to set it up as I believe it needs some stickers and calibration to make it go.
  5. Not sure if anyone cares but looks like superduty fleet orders open Monday for a week and a half. My fleet manager in an email says Ford has given agency's an allocation and we have 3. There are a total of 28 for the entire state of Oregon. I'm thinking this is for Cities and Counties. I think I might try and pick up a F550 if I can as this doesn't feel like things are going to get any better. Wasn't going to replace a rig this year but if it's going to be a year wait, may as well do it now. Glad I have received my personal 2022 SD this year and didn't wait for a 23.
  6. One could argue that if you have lots of room and time. A busy boat ramp and that little knob probably won't cut it. I'm old school I guess. Just takes a little practice. Lucky for me, my better half can back up with the best of them. Always cracks me up when we are fishing and guys ask ,"does she have a sister?" or "where did you find her and are there anymore like her?"
  7. 07 SGT. Fun car that attracted A LOT of attention. My favorite was this 08 Bullitt. Miss this one the most.
  8. In case you missed it in the production forum, Ice no longer has access to that information. I'm assuming with 37 years in the biz, he did a well deserved thing and retired.
  9. A little better but not great... Reg 87 is around $4.35 Diesel is around $5.25 Mid Willamette Valley Oregon
  10. Here is an excerpt of what I sent my dealer based on whatever Price Level (PL) I was under at the time of order. Seems pretty clear to me... Dealer never said another word about cost increase and when the truck came in, it was at the agreed price.
  11. Not exactly sure what you're asking here. If you're asking is it worth getting the 7.3 over the 6.8 I would say yes. If your asking the difference in MPG's between the 7.3 and 6.2, then no there is not much difference. I went from a 2017 CCLB 4.30 6.2 to a 22 CCLB 4.30 7.3 DRW and I'm seeing about 1mpg less is all which I expected with a heavier truck and smaller tires. The 7.3 has a lot more power than the 6.2 and is mated perfectly with the 10R140.
  12. Have it on our f150 and and my f150 work truck. Never set it up and no intentions to. Completely worthless feature/option imo.
  13. Interesting. I Have them on our 2019 f150 lariat and got them on the 22 f350 lariat. Both work fine to me and unless it's 100deg I don't turn them on high. I can feel air flow and it can get a bit chilly and make things shrink in either rig.
  14. You can now go on Ford.com and build and price a new truck now. Pricing is up as expected and the option configuration is a little different.
  15. Well if they get rid of AM how am I going to listen to Art Bell radio when I'm pulling an all nighter? I do agree that in rural and remote areas, AM is nice to have. Obviously old enough to appreciate that part. I wish satellite radio was optional. I got rid of it on my last truck with forscan and have not and will not activate on the current one. Too many trees where I live so it's worthless. CD player isn't needed and never used in the 2017 SD. Seems like auto dimming mirrors should be standard across the lines for safety. Lots of tech in these trucks, some needed, some nice to have, and some unnecessary for me which is why I stuck to Lariat and not a KR.
