  1. I'd say they (successfully) emulated an iPod. The best selling personal device in past decade isn't a half bad thing to copy.
  2. Fantastic commerical. Looks like your typical "through the ages" commerical that practically every large company has done.... and then it gives you the nice surprise at the end.
  3. I've only seen the one pic in this thread, but that doesn't look bad at all.
  4. The front end looks more substantial and a bit more upright. So far so good.
  5. I saw one on the Sprain Brook parkway today in black. Looked nice, but not ostentatious. Bigger in person too.
  6. Simple yet effective. I'm surprised nobody did this many year ago.
  7. I agree....I'll take practicality. I think that's why there will always be a market for minivans (albeit a declining one).
  8. Every Hyundai owner I know of (five, four of which are immediate family) have excellent credit. For some its just spending less for a car. Pretty simple really.
  9. source: firehouse.biz (Chrysler media site) More Detail on Leasing of Chrysler Vehicles Stuart Schorr is Senior Manager, Sales, Mopar and Dealer Communications Given the media interest in vehicle leasing, I wanted to take this opportunity to give more details on what customers can expect from Chrysler and their local dealers. Steven Landry, Chrysler Executive Vice President of North American Sales, elaborates in the video above. 1) Chrysler's dealers are still able to offer customers lease financing arrangements with other financial institutions, separate from Chrysler Financial. 2) Current vehicle owners, Chrysler employees and retirees with leased vehicles through Chrysler Financial will not be affected by this shift, and the terms of their contract will remain in force. Chrysler Financial will continue to support and service current Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge lease and balloon-contract holders. 3) Should current lessees purchase their existing lease vehicle, or a new Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle at the end of their existing lease, Chrysler Financial will waive the disposition fee. Chrysler is also offering a loyalty bonus of up to $750 incremental to most other incentives with the purchase of a new vehicle. Chrysler wants to keep these customers in our family! 4) Chrysler employee lease/company car programs for current and retired salary Chrysler employees, in which vehicles are obtained through the company, are not affected.
  10. Bingo. ...and if you really think on it. 4% ain't too shabby.
  11. Looks nice. Will there still be a five door? The sedan is nice, but the five door looks much more attractive IMHO.
  12. MAybe she really said "Petty Blue".
  13. As kinda cool as that looks, I really hope that is not the real thing. That would not mesh well with the more staid side profile and greenhouse at all.
  14. Yow...that interior is .........bad. I can't even think of words. Its like someone tried to do retro in 1990.
  15. Remember Plymouth was just rebadged Dodges and Chryslers (with the limited edition Prowler being the sole exception). Don't be so sure that model specific restyling advertising costs are as low as you think in keeping a brand solvent. Year over year (over year) diminishing brand sales tend to make bean counters scratch their head of those trim pieces and ad budgets.
  16. That's great news. Back when I lived in MI, I bought Ranger from there as well.
  17. I think we all picked it up that it was a joke (I don't think anyone for second thought it was real). But it also proves there are a lot of misconceptions out there about Chrysler....not to mention the other Big 2. Correct you are! But, I am also very surprised at how well the MK triplets are selling. I had no idea they had the sales they did, especially when weighted down by the Compass.
  18. You are most certainly right, I completely forgot that Mazda still sells that. New total is 24,612. (Adding in 1,462 Tributes).
  19. Again, bias versus fact. From the May 2008 sales report: One step further: Combined MK (Caliber, Compass, Patriot) sales for May were 24,169... Outselling the Escape/Mariner (23,348 respectively). Maybe they are on the "right track"?
  20. Two things I noticed about those pictures. 1) No more keyhole in the trunk? 2) The taillights are reminding me of the ones off my old 79 Mustang (mine not pictured). I know the style is different, but the basic design is bringing that back to me. I'm starting to like them better now.
  21. I'm not too keen on the taillights and spoiler. But from what Ford has done with mid life refreshes on the Mustang, they almost always look better then the previous incarnation. I'm looking forward to this one.
