FYI... Our dealership received its first 2014 Mustang yesterday morning!

The 2013 Fusion Hybrid Titanium scheduling is "on hold" until further notice per last week's FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin). There has been no information that I've seen as to when scheduling will start.

Ford won't even consider a Fusion 2-Door Coupe until they meet their sales objectives for the new 4-Door models. Even then, it will depend on the market conditions for potential competing models along with the required investment.

No new updates for the 2014 Mustang as the car just started production last week. The Boss 302 will not be available for the 2014 Model Year. There was about a $400 increase on the 2013 Mustang GT as of December 26th along with increases for many other vehicle lines. There were also increases on the freight charges for a number of the truck and SUV lines. It's common for prices to be increased at the end of the model year so that they can show minimal price increases at the start of the new model year. The 2014 Mustang print brochures are not yet available for order and it will probably be some time before the .PDF versions are available as they're always notoriuosly late!

We got our 2nd 2013 Shelby GT500 about 3 weeks ago and it arrived within 2-3 weeks of production so there don't seem to be any delays. If anything, a lot of the shipping delays out of Flat Rock are due to rail car issues.

Trying to understand the point of posting a link to the 2014 Mustang page at FordVehicles.com. Big deal... We've all known about the 2014 Mustang for a long time now!

Of course, there's another way to have DRL's on any vehicle you drive... Just turn your headlights on when you start your car. I've been doing this for many, many years on my company car as the DRL's are a fleet order only option from Ford yet standard on Canadian cars because they're required by law.

I'd rather hoped that along with the MKC reveal that Lincoln would have announced a much sooner Job #1 production start. Lincoln needs the all-new product NOW!

Sorry but I'm concerned with Ford adding so many salaried employees. If they'll be working on correcting future product introduction disasters (2013 Escape & 2013 Fusion) maybe it will make sense. Otherwise, if its Ford going back to the old management system and Mark Fields building his own support team then I'm very concerned.

Ford's been very clear on the Ranger. They will NOT bring it to the North American market as its too close in size to the F-150 series.

I drove Mercury Cougar XR-7's for years when I was in the entertainment business before going to work for my current dealership where I've managed the new vehicle inventory for nearly 27 years now. I drove Thunderbird's for many years until switching to Mustangs more than 10 years ago as my company vehicle. I'd have no problem with the Lincoln Motor Company producing a new rear wheel drive sports coupe based on the Mustang chassis. I just hope that id Lincoln does so that they make it unique design-wise to LIncoln and use the "Mark" name convention instead of using a variation of the current, idiotic naming convention that Lincoln's been using.

Yes, many if not most dealers require a deposit in order to place a retail order for a specific customer but policies vary from dealership to dealership and also if there's a relationship with the customer. Contrary to the public's perception, dealerships are owned by business people that truly value your business and will do what's right to earn your business. Just deal with them honestly and they'll most likely do the same.

Interesting post as I wasn't aware that there was a difference in the tail lights on Fusion trim series.I'll have to look at the 2013 Fusion Order Guide in more detail now!

The rail car shortage is a situation that's existed for a few years now. In particular, new Mustangs sit at the plant for several weeks before they're finally loaded on rail cars. I'll look forward into various Ford online sources via FMCdealer.com to see if I can find out anything specific about the C-MAX Hybrid Energi situation and report back here if I can find anything out that will help.

Speculate all you want Mustang Boss fans but Ford said all along that the Boss 302 would be available for only the 2012 & 2013 model years. There is NO Boss Mustang available for the 2014 Model Year as evidenced by looking at the 2014 Mustang Order Guide. The 2014MY Mustang is the last of this generation and Ford's time and efforts are better spent preparing for the next generation Mustang!

I've always been somewhat amused at all the threads including the discussion of the solid rear axle vs. IRS. The next generation Mustang is going global and Ford is going to do everything possible to make sure that the next Mustang is best-in-class in performance and all other regards. If that means an IRS suspension then so be it. The Market will judge the new Mustang for itself and the sales numbers will reflect the success of Ford's decisions!

I expect that a lot of Ford dealers have put in "Retail" orders for manual transmission 2013 Fusions under fictitious names in order to have one available for potential customers to drive and/or purchase. I'd expect that most of the potential market is with foreign vehicle owners and a niche market. Even so, I don't agree or understand why Ford has restricted the manual transmission 2013 Fusion to retail orders.

Did your dealer give you the VIN # for your C-MAX Hybrid Energi or just tell you that they had the VIN # and that Ford had put a "hold" on the Energi? Until Dealers receive their "Green" certification from Ford and install at least 2 charging stations at the dealership (one for customer charging by the Showroom and another for Service Department access) they can't even order either C-MAX Hybrid Energi or Fusion Hybrid Energi models.

Agreed! The 2013 Focus with either the SE Interior Style Appearance or Titanium Interior Style option is beautiful!

Ford is NOT paid for any vehicles, regardless of order type (Stock, Demo, Retail, Fleet, etc.) until the vehicles are actually delivered to the dealership!
