NickF1011
The thread about the Twin Force that Igor posted made me think of this. What are your favorite badges or logos that have made their way onto Ford vehicles in the past? Mine's a simple choice: What about your least favorite? I hated all the generic block letter badges with things like "Fuel Injected" or "Air Bags" written on them slapped tastelessly on the decklid. IMSA-XJR9
Cool topic. I saw a 'Ford Bronco' hat in the dealer the other day and was thinking about different badges/stickers. Here are a few I like . .

Interesting, you should pick the "Snake On Wheels" CobraJet badge. I stripped my 67 Custom 500 of badges back in 1970 just after buying it and slapped a couple CJ badges like you pictured on the front fenders and rear decklid. Of course it wasn't just any Custom 500. It had been a Police package with a 289 and Cruisomatic before I owned it. After changing just about any and every thing under the hood, that little 289 was a screamer! :hyper: Probably not so much as cars now with the s/c. But it was an effective car for more speed! :happy feet: It's good to see the sticker is still with us!

JW
I like this one so much a friend and I made a complete font around it. This is the logo for the STX package Ford used on various Ranger generations. This particular logo was only used on the 93-94. This will be embroidered into the headrests when I redo my Ranger's interior, and/or I may have some billet emblems made to go with the Ranger emblems I designed. I've thought about using V8 emblems like Pioneer posted when my truck's done, but that would take away from the whole sleeper concept Edited July 26, 2007 by JW

RichardJensen
My fav's already been posted. The Maverick...always loved that one. Why does the Maverick logo have Farrah hair? I always like the '50s variant: And the lightning bolt/gear from the trucks

Always on the driver's side rear quarter window. Probably my favorite FMC badge/sticker. Never tried to be a poser, just always like the sticker like yourself. Couple more I like . . . Traveler
The Cobra badge is by far the coolest and the Lightning is too. However, for a basic Ford V8, I like these badges. Since they recall from a classic Ford design and are not brand specific, I've been thinking about getting a set for each fender of the Vic. syrtran
That's not the Maverick badge, that's the Stallion package decal. Mustangs (and IIs) and Pintos all had the same option package. It was a two-tone silver/black body, and upgraded interior. What Intrepidatious posted was the Maverick badge, right up until it got replaced by the Fairmont. The badges I always liked were the Mustang running horse with the tri-color bar, and the mid-60s Thunderbird badges (especially when they had the '427' on them). Sorry, I don't have any pictures. Paul Selby
I like the 390, 406, 427, 428 fender badges Ford used with checkerd flags on both sides of the birds head with the engine size in the center of the wings. Maybe someone more computer literate than me can post a picture of one. The Cobra Jet snake is also a favorite of mine and Super Roo is also very cool. 68Cougar
What about your least favorite? This one I hate. If they are going to keep Mercury around, bring back the Mercury Head badge.

wescoent
Why stop at 8 cylinders? I'll bet you could traversely mount a V16 over the rear axle, if you really put your heart into it. I mean, it would require a fender flare anyway to accomodate the rear tires.
