Blueblood
I kinda like it, in matte black at least, gives it a real Alien-esque look to it, Mazda should put a TT 4 rotor rotary in the rear and build a super car to crush all super cars, zoom-zoom.. retro-man
Am I the only one who thinks this thing looks bloody awful? No - but as my name suggests, I'm stuck in the past. The Ford GT is to me, the epitome of gorgeousness in this class of car. I'm a bit torn about the Mazda. It is not, by any stretch, "beautiful". Cool maybe. On the one hand, it is up-to-the-minute - and therefore somewhat futuristic - and I like that - because we are living in the future now. At least to someone like me, who grew up inspired by "2001 a Space Odyssey", which made 2007 seem like an impossibly distant point in time - but here we are. On the other hand, the formal vocabulary employed here - with the bodywork and fooferaw around the headlights looking almost like draped cloth - smells subjective (as opposed to scientifically derived) to me - so I am betting that it will date quickly. Whereas the GT is transcendent. There, I've made up my mind. It is interesting. Nothing more.

RichardJensen
a real Alien-esque look to it Hence the HR Giger reference........ Carrying the joke farther, the 'factory' for this particular car is rather odd. An assortment of old Plymouth and Dodge Neons are fed into one end, and at some point in the process they are, well, impregnated with something that eventually turns into this thing, which comes out the other end. The durability testing was accomplished with a Sigourney Weaver look-a-like in one of those crazy yellow loading contraptions. TomServo92
Is that a spoiler on the back of it? That ruins it IMO Yeah but since it's a race car concept, I'm sure it's there for functional not aesthetic reasons.

That's my favorite color combo as well (white w/ blue stripes), only other that comes close is the gold w/ black stripes. Then again, the GT looks good no matter what color its in, lol

RichardJensen
It's the cat's eye headlights. On second glance, though, I'm thinking there's more of a HR Giger thing there than anything else.
