But I'd advise you, hopefully as one adult to another, to take into consideration the amount of hostility you generate here, and moderate your conduct. I'm not some kindergarten teacher's aide, P. And this is not some sandbox full of 5 year olds. We're all adults here. If you can't act like an adult, maybe this just isn't the right site for you. I have been begging him and Robert for the chance to gain moderator tools so I can deal with people who have no other purpose, but to trash our efforts, product, and this sight! If I were Rich matters would have been handled long ago without the chances he has afforded you. This thread would not even exist, but rather you would be looking at a screen that said you have been banned every time you tried to log on! Personally I don't think you are the worst offender cough ( FordLOL?!?) cough, but certainly here with ill intent! Your best qualities as I agree with you little, are that you raise good arguements that we can debate. Also without decent we have no idea what to improve! To add to his defense, there are instances where it just seems like some of you guys are baiting him, like this thread, or like when Deanh was bashing him for owning a Panther while simultaneously trying to sell one to another poster. Unbelievable. And it just seems like whenever he posts something that's his opinion, no matter how valid or ridiculous, cue another of the regulars to chime in saying, "What do you know? You own a Panther." It's not always expressed that way, but that's the gist. We joke around a lot here, and it can go too far sometimes, but I have never seen a poster generate the kind of vitriol that P71 does. Why? Why not just ignore him? That's obvious. No one wants to. I'm starting to think people actively seek out his posts, just so they can get their blood boiling. It's become somewhat obvious that we don't have many conversations here. We have arguments. That's why threads are so easily derailed. New news almost becomes just a conduit for more fighting. About cars. About politics. About science. Whatever. It all could end if we wanted to, but we're all just a regular bunch of comedians, aren't we? Have to get that zinger in. Most of us have done it. It'd be one thing if you were just proving him wrong, but it's not about that. Not anymore. Don't get me wrong. I'm not defending his actions. The retarded smiley and the pink limp-wristed smiley crap got old fast. He still calls the D3s money losers, even though he still can't prove it. I think you'd have trouble docking him for harassment, because he probably gets more than he gives. Nick, Dean, RJ himself, hell, probably me too. All gone. IMO, this thread is the last recourse: humiliation. RJ probably set up this poll so Armada and a couple others would vote 'no', everyone else'd vote 'yes' and we'd all have another good laugh at his expense. That's why I voted 'yes'. I think P71 needs to move on to another message board. If this kind of 'chase 'em outta town' concerted effort is going to become a regular occurrence on this board, I think he needs to reevaluate whether it's worthwhile to post here. I think he might know the answer already. Unfortunately, that's why I might have to reconsider my membership, as well. Igor's posts are great, but fewer and farther between. The photoshops are a nice diversion, but I'm finding myself shaking my head more and more when I see more of the same bickering between the same people. Why don't I just ignore all the people on both sides that cause the problem. I did, for a couple days. Only read two posts. Both were started by myself. In my opinion, banning him instead of tossing a bucket of cold water on him is classless and unbefitting of a moderator. As moderator, there are times where I am going to do things that you don't like. And frankly, I don't care. I don't have to live with your opinions of my conduct. I have to live with my own better judgment. And to be perfectly honest, there is something downright disturbing about banning people from a supposedly open board. I want no part of it. I will not do it, and if you don't like what I do instead of it, you can go find a board where the moderator sees to it that no one has to develop an ounce of self-control, and where the contributions are bland, one-sided, and unnaturally cohesive. As a moderator, he's been pretty liberal -- go to the Sony Playstation or xBox forums. Dissention or comparison gets you banned instantaneously. (I chose those as examples because you get the same fanboy/antifanboy clashes). I don't really care if P71 stays or goes. Personally, I have yet to see anything worthwhile that he's contributed to the forum. Ignoring positives in new vehicles, criticizing everything while clinging to the Panthers (which IMO epitomizes what is wrong with FMC despite its reliability) gets old pretty fast. So, let's get this out of the way. There's no such thing as "free speech" on a privately owned and run forum. Just like you can't walk into someone's house, say what you want, do what you want; and similarly you really have no protected rights here.
