Bailouts Denied!!! RIP General Motors...

Please note how vocal the Republican Senators from the southern states are. If the Big 3 should get strong again that would kill the transplants in their states. They don't want to see any patriotic ferver ise in that way and they are willing to do that at the expense of higher paying jobs in the north. Yet when we got attacked on 9/11 wasn't it GM that took the lead in offering deales to move sales along? Weren't they lauded in the media for saving the economy? It was not Hyundai, or Toyota or Mercedes. I bet there were way more servicemen working fo GM that went to war and had their pay supplemented than that contribution in troops from the countries whose car companies they are trying to protect.

THey are protecting their jobs down there they don't care abou the tax payers across the country. The big 3 jobs pay more taxes which supported these states in the past, and by the way, they gave up tax dollars for Hyundai to build there. So they don't about the companies that supported the country in the past. What if a serious world war breaks out? Whose company would you rather have ramp up to build additional weapons? Just some thoughts and rants.

That's what they're suppose to do. Represent their constituents. :shades:

You mean the 4,000 autoworkers in their state? What about the country as a whole? Why not be open to something that has a greater benefit than be beholden to foreign corpoations? There are GM deales in that state too you know, what about them and their employees? Aren't they constituents too? Can those 4,000 jobs continue to sustain their economy? As far as I can recall Senators vote on matters of national interest.
