Hydro
Nice, although that shop looks a little rag tag.
Pioneer
Nice, although that shop looks a little rag tag. The inside of some of Fords older plants look worse.

7Mary3
I see some Modular there, but a lot that's new. And that's a good thing.
bifs66
They say the engines have been in their shop for about five months; but one picture shows Christmas decorations. Unless they have decorated early this year, it seems that the engines have been there for quite a bit longer.
old_fairmont_wagon
Maybe I'm not that up to date on modern engine breathing design, but, that exhaust manifold looks to me to leave a lot to be desired...
Versa-Tech
Nice, although that shop looks a little rag tag. That looks like the School of Automotive Machinists. Yeah, it looks crappy in the back bay, but they have everything any race team would need including a HAAS 5 axis CNC :shades:
Hydro
Maybe I'm not that up to date on modern engine breathing design, but, that exhaust manifold looks to me to leave a lot to be desired... Yep, especially since the toyota 5.7L looks and flows like custom short tube headers.
procyon
Probably an prototype engine and as such this may not be a production casting...
jpd80
No doubt, some goose will complain about the engine's size and how wedge heads take up less room...

Deanh
Are you stating actual real world proof or just repeating some public claims? he may be pertaining to their propogander...i mean TV adds where they show Tundras headers and a competitors cast iron exhaust manifold.....( whos we dont rightfully know, but the Tundras headers are a work of art )
bifs66
No doubt, some goose will complain about the engine's size and how wedge heads take up less room... I wonder if they complained in the late 40's that OHV engines took up more room than flatheads.
F250
he may be pertaining to their propogander...i mean TV adds where they show Tundras headers and a competitors cast iron exhaust manifold.....( whos we dont rightfully know, but the Tundras headers are a work of art ) And if they're like the Tundra 4.7Ls when they get a little age they will crack at the head flange or if you try to remove the sensors the threads will come right out with them. They're kind of expensive too, but the dealers all stock them because there is a need. Cast iron is more durable, less expensive, quieter and retains heat better for lower emissions. If designed properly a good iron manifold will flow as well as a short tubular manifold. Note the shape of the '04 and up F150 manifolds:
