NickF1011
i EMAILED OUR LOCAL NEWS STATION ASKING WHERE THE REPORTS ARE ON THIS LATEST RECALL. TOYOTA IS BASICALLY SNEAKING ALL THESE OUT HOPING THEY FALL UNDER THE RADAR, WHICH THIS THIS ONE IS. DAMN CAP LOCK, didn't notice until the end. Despite the State of the Union Address (usually a great time for people to sneak bad news by the press) I heard this recall mentioned on two different radio stations on my way into work this morning. First time I've heard anything about any recalls from anyone on the radio since the Firestone recall. Trust me, this is getting big. Was hanging out with a friend of mine last night and even she (very little car knowledge) started laughing when a Toyota commercial came on TV. guesswhoscomingtodinner
Interesting. Seems Ford is halting production as they are using the same pedals as Toyota. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704194504575030891636493402.html
forddaughter
ABC is getting credit for blowing this story wide open to begin with. They said if it wasn't for John Edwards and the Haiti earthquake this would be an even bigger story.

It encompasses about 1200 vehicles total. Not exactly Toyota's 4+ million and counting.

NickF1011
His wife told him to drive it to Haiti. May have actually been "Hades". Of course, one might be hard pressed to tell them apart these days.

rmc523
Was that the Corolla commercial that had the car as the centerpiece of an action movie? I've not seen that one, but there is an ad for the new Lexus GX that makes it the star of an action "movie"...
