richardmayo
According to Ford F-150 marketing manager Mark Grueber, relative to the all-new 3.7-liter V-6 entry level engine, the 5.0-liter V-8 will carry a $1,000 premium over the 3.7. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 will carry a $750 premium over the 5.0 and the 6.2-liter V-8 will carry a $1,995 premium over the 5.0. Hydro
Wow, the EB looks really attractive now. You can turn the wicks up a tad on the turbo's with a programmer and probally work the 6.2L.

I wouldn't put it past the EB stock to out-work the 6.2L...especially at higher elevations.

Its going to be interesting to see the engine mix. I bet this could be a game changer. The only gripe I have is there is no availability of the EB engine in a reg cab short bed. Could you imagine what that could do in a 4x2? It would be a poor mans Lightning. The good news is that the 5.0 will not be a slouch. Maybe Ford has plans for something similar down the road, it seems like making a sport model from existing components would be a pretty easy and cheap program. But it sure is fun. I enjoy swatting the tinfoil-hat types in the off-topic forum, myself; beats the hell out of solitaire.
