WalterWeeps
Has anyone heard a 'definitive' timeframe for trades postings yet or when the first group of trades transfers might be needed at LAP? Indy is dying a slow death and would love to know if there's going to be any light at the end of the tunnel soon or ever for that matter. magnumwheels
Same here Walter can't wait to go to a productive plant with Ford Employees that care about their product.
WalterWeeps
Same here Walter can't wait to go to a productive plant with Ford Employees that care about their product. Just would like the opportunity to keep working period let alone in a productive plant with caring employees. Indy is slated to close in late November/December and the company will not commit to a firm transfer opportunity. We have nothing in zone and no prospects outside of the 'promise' of some Louisville ops at this point yet IUAW nor Company have given us any insight as to what the future holds for us or any timelines. How are we supposed to plan for our families futures like this?

Yeah, at Indy we've had trades laid off long enough that they've already run out of their 39 weeks of Sub pay and are now on the TAP program. whiteford
Okay, maybe I've been under a rock. What are you talking about? KTP took two production worker's off the line to do Millwright PM's. These two have never worked as Millwrights in the ford system. They have been doing this for close to a year now. They are abusing supplemental language. AND!....the management team controls the out come of what gets wrote up on these SAFETY PM's (no integrity) which is why they pulled people off the line instead using trades assigned to the department I mean WTF ....If supplemental people put the wrong shit on these PM's and your ass goes back to the line! (ASSUMING THEY KNOW WHAT THEIR LOOKING AT) If the equipment hanging over production's head was looked at by the wrong people, Ford may have to shut down and actually fix something! SO HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT THAN USING AN OUTSIDE CONTRACTOR Sorry rant over Edited May 1, 2011 by nvsked
