sullynd
Buick? Not my idea of luxury. If you're counting Buick, may as well count Ford. How do they compare in terms of sales?
NickF1011
If you're counting Buick, may as well count Ford. How do they compare in terms of sales? Yeah exactly. Buick is what Chevrolet should be trying to be, and well, they kind of are. The new Malibu trumps the Regal in just about every metric I can think of. SneakyE
This is really bad for Toyota. For years I have thought the general public held a perception of Toyota and Lexus that they didn't deserve. Now that their cars will be scarce some of the Toyota customers will have to buy another brand and find out there are cars better than what Toy/Lex has been selling them. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the long run.

The bigger problem here for Toyota and Lexus is that their customers will be forced to take the blinders off for the first time in many years. When they see what they have been missing - look out! Yes - very interesting how this will play out long term.
timmm55
Their sales were falling before the quake/tsunami......good way to save face I guess!
156n3rd
My personal condolences and hope go out to Japan. Lexus can dry up and blow away and Toyota should improve the Norge cars they currently build. Many working people can't afford Lexass anyway.
