Don't forget guys that we'll be hiring just under 1,000 entry level people shortly after the vote on the contract so that should change their numbers somewhat. So shortly after the contract vote their numbers will be obsolete.

Wouldn't it be nice to see upper salary take a pay cut to be in line with the competition. Just think how much money that would save the company!

Can someone negotiate on behalf of the retirees a different vision place? SVS is a pain in the butt and that's all that the insurance will cover. Which isn't much BTW anyways!

Vision is part of the VEBA, we are lucky to have what we have.

Might be a pain in the ass but honestly considering where GM and Chrysler retires are without vision and dental, Ford retires have it a little better I would say.

If there is a Costco near you go there...the overall cost is cheaper without any benefits then going to SVS....get your bi-yearly exam for free and do the rest of business with Costco....and Costco is 17% unionized.

Stop your squawking and pay for your own vision coverage if you don't like the handout that the retirees are using!

Putting your time in at Ford and receiving a pension and benefits is far from a handout...SCAB!

Lets see..foriegn competition pays executives in the same position about what our Plant Managers make...about $300k and they do just fine. For almost all of my 23 years at Ford we have been trying to do what Toyota does and they are run by a guy making about 1/27th of what our CEO makes and kicking our butt until recently. Unemployment is running rampant...quite sure very talented and successful and qualified people would line up for this position at even 10 % of his salary. Hell, hire the Toyota CEO...if he takes 10% of Alan's salary with bonuses from this past year he would go from a pay of approx. 300k to 8million...prob could get someone.

Alan deserves $53 million! He's worth every dime of it. Worry about whats in your pockets and what you are not saving!! After all, $53 million is peanuts compared to the $4BILLION that rat ruphert murduch steals from this each year in the form of tax loopholes! Now, if you want something to complain about then that should be it. Call your republicant congressman and tell them to close these loopholes.

The Republicans have tried closing some loopholes, but the Democrats block their efforts every time.

and kicking our butt until recently.

So you want the guy who turned around the company, and gave you the chance to keep working, to take a pay cut, or replace him with someone else?

I promise you that if you start thinking for yourself, and not listen to the likes of Bob King, the world wont end, and you will be better off

The CEO of Toyota is Akio Toyoda. He is the grandson of the founder of Toyota. He has been with the company for 27 years.

Akio Toyoda has an estimated net worth of $1,000,000,000. That is a billion. LINK

Do you think he would do a better job than Mulally. Do you think he'd take on Ford for 8.3 million? Do you want the guy who will take the job for the least amount running our company?

Let me know what other candidates should be on the short list and what the offers should be.

$1,000,000,000 That's billion divided by 27= $37,037,037 million per year.

Alan Mulally came on in 2006 so 5 years he has made in excess of 313,000,000(March 10, Detroit Free Press: Already, Mulally's accumulated equity-based incentives -- 13.9 million shares and 14.5 million options -- are worth about $313 million based on Ford's $14.01 closing price Monday, according to an analysis by Equilar, a firm that specializes in executive pay. That does not include salary, bonus and other corporate perks.)

$313,000,000 million divided by 5=$62,600,000 so that is nearly double what toyoda is making and last time I checked Alan's last name wasn't Ford. He is grossly overpaid and you made that even more obvious with your post. :slap:
