$100,000 Exodus

Could someone verify the rumor that the trades signing up for the $100,000 incentive is above 400? If true they have exactly 22 days left for signup. Could the last 22 days push retirements above 500? 600?

I was critical of the UAW in not negotiating a path to get us back but this $100,000, reskill, $50,000 return to production was the best path to get us back and very proactive. With these numbers possibly near 500 all of us should get back to our tools or atleast offered a reskill opportunity

Thank you UAW

Not sure about the total numbers at KTP but the Pipefitter Trade looks to have 7-8 taking the buyout...but no job openings will be coming...as I assume will be the case in most plants. At some time Ford wants to begin to combine trades and that job is much easier thru attrition! The only trade I see openings for here is Electricians and rumor is the apprenticeship will begin to bring electricial apprentices only beginning next month.

You better get with your Chairman if they are not replacing 1 for 1 at KTP. The UAW has negotiated 1 for 1 replacement except ILO retirements and ACH retirements.

So far this is true at the rouge where they have replaced active Pipefitters that left on a transfer and retirement. Also r&e has posted for machining speecialists retirements 1 for 1 also.

Our Local 600 meeting is where we learned about the 1 for 1. Our skilled jobs are too valuable to let this 1 for 1 slip away. Also plenty of reskilling coming to many locations

Stay vigilant, we have waited to long or this opportunity, if there are possibly 500+ $100,000 retirements and we should all be back to our tools.

So far they have followed 1 to 1. Many retraining opportunities for Electricians and Stationary Steam here in the Rouge

Contract? We have one! Or do you mean those

agreements between the company and the union

that allows the company to do whatever they wish!

You would have a better chance at getting a copy

of the incentive check given to

Bob King to allow the company to do as they wish than getting

a copy of something that says the company

MUST do something !

Only thing the company is required to do

is give salary raises and bonuses!

If you voted yes for it you can't complain. Going back to some of your threads you posted 4 months ago it seems to me you were in favor and voted yes for the current contract. Sorry MAN but you can't complain that your ass hurts when you put your own thumb up you're butt.

over 400? i find that hard to believe. i say you would be lucky to get 100. we will see after march 9th. hope you are right! also remember that 1 for 1, the company can say sales are down, loss of product etc..... the writing is on the wall the company does not want to pay $35hr. when they can go to the outside for 20 to 25$hr. for trades. phase trades out and bring outside contractors is there goal!

Yeah but then the company pays to 're-skill' workers {dont get me wrong-good for you} so its funny how they save money. After going through two apprenticeship programs if I was under 40 I would shop my skills around outside of Ford.Hello Monster.com.Maybe up in North Dakota or an offshore oild rig I could make $40 an hour!Cant believe what an incredible oppurtunity that is especially if you use it to your advantage.Training and education = $$$$$$ on this planet.

I know many Trades that are signing up for this huge opportunity (retraining).

Also, that report of over 400 trades taking the 100000 was 2 weeks ago (old news). The window for trades closes March 6th and historically that 400 trades will grow well over 500 trades in the final 2 weeks of sign up.

so over 500 will take the buyout. what percentage of trades would that be ford wide? like i said, lucky to get 100.

Over 400 SKILLED TRADES signed up for the $100,000 incentive. That number was given 2 weeks ago. I have no idea what the production take rate is but SKILLED TRADES are over 400. Could be possible hitting the 500 number with several days left to sign up.

Your estimate of 100 is off by 300 to 400.................... Thanks for playing, trap door exit, flush

400-500 taking buy-outs. 400-500 trades on ILO or on the line if memory serves me. Almost a 1 for 1 fit. Especially with re-skilling.

Glad to see they are finally using the language that has been in the CBA since 1999.

Got to give props to the bargaining team from then.

Hope it works for each of those looking to get back to their tools ......or looking to take on the challenge of a new date of entry as SSE or Electrician.

who gave those numbers, some shit house lawyer? my question is how many skilled trades are there ford wide and what percentage is 500 of that, then, you will re-think your numbers. 500..... i think not.

I have already heard of guys getting the run around trying to get released from production. I wonder with the man power issues they have at the rouge if the company wont drag their feet placing us becuase they have no one to take our spots on the line. Could you imagine them trying to run with just 10 missing let alone 140 of us off line.

I heard the UAW negotiated LTSs at all locations to help with the transition of all retirements and the huge flow of trades back to our tools
