blazerdude20
http://www.leftlanenews.com/lincoln-mkt-ecoboost-awd-review.html The MKT is probably one of the more important vehicles in the mature but still evolving Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company. With an all-hands-on-deck approach to growing the company, Lincoln needs to sell every car built. And, realistically, it needs to build a lot more cars, too. BORG
I lost all interest in the MKT when it launched the Town Car fleeter.
NickF1011
The MKT is probably one of the more important vehicles in the mature but still evolving Lincoln division By what logic? It's a holdover model at best.
lfeg
By what logic? It's a holdover model at best. If Lincoln wants to continue to have a presence in the professional car arena, the MKT is important. I do not see this doing well in sales to individuals, but properly done, both in the limo and professional car trades it can represent Lincoln well. One thing that may help this thing as an executive limo would be a slight stretch in wheelbase, maybe 6 inches, all added to the rear doors to improve access to the third row. But then again, I am not in the mainstream here.

Edstock
Something in the MKT's market space will be important to the long-term success of Lincoln. The current MKT, however, is not. When is the MKT, if it survives, due for replacement with a new vehicle?
NickF1011
When is the MKT, if it survives, due for replacement with a new vehicle? CY2014 or 15... In the meantime, the actual new vehicle launches like MKZ and upcoming small crossover are far more important to their survival. RichardJensen
maybe 6 inches, all added to the rear doors Man, those'd be some big doors. Also, the professional edition of the MKT doesn't have a 3rd row.

timmm55
First time in awhile I've seen anyone badmouth park assist. They didn't trust it. Didn't let it finish. That's their paranoia........perhaps drove a Lexus before? Edited August 29, 2012 by timmm55

Pretty poor form to condemn a system you don't use properly. Of course, that doesn't stop CR....
BORG
First time in awhile I've seen anyone badmouth park assist. That was the dumbest bit of writing I've seen in awhile (re: the article, not you of course).
ANTAUS
So they didn't let Park Assist do it's work, Hmmm what part didn't they trust, the steering wheel doing it's thing, or their foot on the pedal I'm really over these people having electronic concerns, can we get younger tech savvy people to do these roads tests...hell, they might not know how to shift a manual car, but at least they'll be able to make everything else work!
