djellenz
I can't believe the Expedition doesn't get the option for Adaptive Cruise Control! Since my wife has it on our Explorer she said she will never own another vehicle without it. We were really wanting to go up a size to the Expedition but not now. The worst part is GM now has Adaptive Cruise on their large SUV's. Any word if Expedition will get this option at a mid-year change? I hope so or Ford lost a 30 year customer...
Red2002
Production starts today. Hope to see some real world testing soon. Certainly they should be releasing some more to journalist other than just giving them limited access in WV.

They've probably already been given access but have an embargo to coincide with the vehicles arriving at dealers.
Red2002
True, a couple of videos on YouTube show them whining about wanting to take to their home base and really work on it . . . Anyone know if the LED fog lights will double as daytime running lights or does the daytime running lights option just leave the headlights on? Nexttruck
Did you order through a dealer? How long are you going to have to wait for delivery ? Did you pay invoice ? more or less ? Thanks
Bornzo
I placed an order for a 2015 KR last Wednesday and I am paying $1,000 under invoice. I was told the wait will be about 8 weeks.
caplanm
Did you order through a dealer? How long are you going to have to wait for delivery ? Did you pay invoice ? more or less ? Thanks I actually ordered mine on Memorial Day weekend once my dealer got pricing. I order all of our Fords ( we have 4 ). Usually it takes about six weeks from the time I order until it shows up at the dealer. This situation is different since Job #1 was 8/11. riley49
I have a good relationship with the dealer so we don't talk numbers until it comes in. I know he will give me a good price and he knows I want a Ford no matter what the price is. I hope we have the expy before Thanksgiving. That is what we are thinking for timeframe. TopGun1421
Bornzo: Where can I get 2015 Expy pricing (other than MSRP)?? I qualify for X-Plan, but I believe I can do better than that. My son just bought 2015 Explorer for $1,200 under invoice (which was about $1,500 under X-Plan)

My son just bought 2015 Explorer for $1,200 under invoice (which was about $1,500 under X-Plan) If you have Partner access go to Fordpartner.com and you can either search inventory or do a build and price and get the X plan price. I do not believe he bought a 2015 Explorer for $1500 less than X plan. That's below dealer cost. There must have been incentives or dealer cash that wasn't figured into the x plan price or they made it up in doc fees or on the trade-in. That just doesn't make sense. A few hundred below X plan - sure. But not $1500. Not saying it can't happen but dealers who sell cars at a loss don't stay in business.

But the price we saw (I was with him) on the invoice was about $300 less that X-Plan, and he paid $1200 less than invoice. Plus he got a $1500 rebate and 100% of the KBB trade value. Doc fee was $595 and we didn't go for anything (gap insurance/paint protection/etc) else and the dealer was fine with that. And we really didn't have to negotiate that hard to get this deal. Bornzo
TopGun1421: The only place I know of to get pricing on the new Expedition other than MSRP, would be to check KBB or Edmunds.com

And we really didn't have to negotiate that hard to get this deal. Doc fee with X plan is limited to $100 so that's an extra $500 right there. Did you check all the available rebates with X plan? Did you apply the $1500 rebate to both prices? In addition to the $1500 rebate it's possible there were additional X plan rebates. Unless the dealer actually ran the X plan pricing through Vincent. You really have to get out the door prices on both taking the doc fee and all rebates into account because those can be different. I have access to X plan pricing if you give me a dealer name, zip code and vin or a zip code and what to build.
akirby
Also - keep in mind that with a X plan sale the dealer gets a spiff check from Ford for a few hundred bucks. It's free money if you already have a pin. So why would the dealer take less money for the vehicle AND lose out on free money from X plan unless they were making it up elsewhere? All I know is what I saw with my own eyes. X-Plan rebates for 2015 Explorer were $1500, same as retail buyers. And my son got 100% of that. What I'm looking for is the following: 1) 2015 Expedition 4x4 King Ranch (with the following options) a) moonroof; b) 22" wheels. MSRP (inc. destination charge) is $64,280. Ford.com also lists $1,750 of available incentives. Not sure what those are. My trade will be my down payment, and should net about $10,000.00. So my question is, what's better?? Invoice or X-Plan?? Thanks for your help AKirby!! Ed

If you have a PIN, just use that and be done with it. It may cost a hundred bucks or so more than invoice, but it's definitely much less hassle and no back and forth to get down to the invoice price. They also can't hide any costs in your trade either.
