Fgts
http://gmauthority.com/blog/2016/08/2018-buick-regal-gs-could-feature-a-twin-turbo-v6/ This would be a response to the Fusion Sport and MKZ 3.0EB. The XTS-V Sport 3.6 tt is most likely to be used but the n/a 3.6 is a candidate also.

Fgts
Let's not act like the Regal is relevant. Who spit in your coffee?, 2300 people last month thought the Regal is relevant, within 600 of MKZ.

It's amazing what a 20% off sale will do, let alone the fact that it starts something like $10k cheaper...
atomcat68
I can't understand why they kept the Regal and dumped the much better selling Verano. Maybe the profit margin is better and they hope the people not liking the Encore so much will flock to the Regal?

Maybe the profit margin is better and they hope the people not liking the Encore so much will flock to the Regal? The new Cruze is a better car than the Verano in every way, hopefully GM allows Cruze to grow up market. A Cruze "Titanium" could capture lost Verano sales while appealing to people who's hair may intentionally be blue.
BORG
New Regal will also get a Station Wagon....good for a few hundred sales. They should toss in an MPV while they are at it, just keep dumping as much crap in there as possible because Buick is unsustainable anyway. 97svtgoin05gt
Does anyone know what the total division sales were in '15 for Buick? I can't see it being relevant much longer.

97svtgoin05gt
Hmph, more than I imagined by quite a margin. I would've guessed sub 160k.
silvrsvt
The Regal is being kept around due to CAFE...larger footprint makes it easier to meet standards.
