Why do they schedule raptors so far out from regular f150? F-150 Raptor's are not part of the regular allocation and scheduling process. Ford tells the Dealer when to put Raptor orders into the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) and then the Regional Scheduler re-prioritizes the order to "01" before the system will schedule the order. The process can take a few weeks before the Raptor order is scheduled.

The allocation is assigned from the Regional office as it becomes available and then made available to the dealership. The scheduling is then done manually by the Regional Scheduler but the process takes several weeks after the dealership is notified. This process applies regardless of whether the order is Stock or Retail.
Albertabound
I placed an order for Lincoln Nautilus Reserve with everything on it except towing and DVD in early July and it was produced on Oct 23. Since that time there has been no movement. I know that there is a steady movement of Nautilus vehicles into the three Lincoln dealers in the greater Calgary area so there can't be a hold placed on the Nautilus. My dealer has no information and supposedly has asked the Area Lincoln Rep to get more info but that was a week ago. I am worried that some serious problems have been found and don't want a Lemon on my hands. I am thinking of cancelling the order but am wondering if others have run into this type of situation and what was the outcome.
akirby
It doesn't mean it's a lemon. It could be waiting for parts or there might have been an issue in the plant they're investigating to see if there is a problem. I would wait and see what the area rep says or see if it changes status in the next week or so. After that you may want to consider re-ordering. Sometimes a vehicle goes into never never land with no explanation and stays there for weeks. It's ridiculous that Ford either doesn't know what's happening or won't tell you but it does happen.
ice-capades
Ford's IT Department has been doing its usual, exceptional job lately with Dealers having extremely limited access to the FMCDealer.com portal since Thursday afternoon. Ford has a Business Continuity Document PDF that provides direct access to specific applications but even using this is troublesome right now. For example, it is impossible to access the SMART Weekly Order Management or WBDO (Web Based Dealer Order) links. As such, I've not been able to access information for my Production Week Scheduling Timetable report. It's anyone's guess if they're working on the problem over the weekend but as soon as access is restored I'll upload the information for next week's vehicle scheduling.
1984Poke
In looking at the “Build Weeks” for Ford/Lincoln vehicles, unless I’ve just overlooked something, it seems there is a 4-week gap in build weeks. That is, I saw a build week for the 2019 MKZ of the week of 12/17/2018 (that seems to be the last one in 2018) and the next one I remember seeing was 1/14/2019 (that seems to be the first one in 2019). Are the factories really shut down for 4 weeks during the Christmas and New Year holiday time, or did I miss a Production Week Scheduling list? Also, if the factory really is shut down that long and the factory’s workers resume production during the week of 1/14/2019 after 4 weeks off, and given that it is possible the MKZ I ordered could be included in that 1/14/2019 production week, should I be worried about the build quality of my vehicle? Should I hope my MKZ will be built in a later week in 2019, after the workers have had a few days to get “back in the groove” of building Zs? Or am I worried about nothing? In my opinion...you are overthinking and worried about nothing. It doesn't take a "few days to get back into the groove". Plus, you can hope all you want, but unless you cancel your current order and place it again later, it will be built when it is built. And yes, I know about the old "You don't want a car built on a Monday or Friday" types sayings/advice. But that is an old saying. Concerning your build weeks questions. The week of 12/17 begins on a Monday and runs through Saturday, 12/22 (or whatever day the Christmas holiday begins). So we are actually only discussing a shutdown of approximately 3 weeks. Plus, as ice-capades has discussed, there have been problems with the ordering system, so we may have incomplete information. I understand your anticipation and anxiety, but you'll be much happier if you can relax and stop worrying so much. I hope your shiny new MKZ comes as quickly as possible. Good luck. ? Albertabound
I hope that your build and delivery goes much better than mine has. Ordered Nautilus Reserve with everything but towing and DVD in late June. Vehicle was produced on October 23 and then appears to have vanished. Dealership; and Lincoln Area Rep have said they are actively working on it but so far nothing. Finally contacted Lincoln Concierge last Friday and they said they will do their best to get me info by today. Would have cancelled order but received $5971.00 discount when ordered. If nothing by end of week will cancel .
1984Poke
So...just out of curiosity, how long do the manufacturing plants close for the holidays? One week (as in the week of 12/24/2018) or two or more weeks? Is the number of weeks of closure the same across all Ford/Lincoln plants in North America (that is, including Canada and Mexico as well as the U.S.)? Thanks. Hi 1984Poke. ice-capades stated in one of his posts above that the MKZ plant should only be down the week of 12/24. Perhaps add in New Years Day (just guessing)? So current schedule is a one week closure. As far as other plants in North America...I can not answer. Hope your wait is a short one and good luck.
