Because Ford is gearing up for a run at the 2019 Baja 1000, which will mark the 50th anniversary of the Bronco taking on the 1969 race and winning it outright with driver Rod Hall at the wheel. Hence the "2069" number on the side of the Bronco R, which is a nod to the truck's race class (20) and the year (1969) of Hall's win.

By like a week. Ford didn't go out of their way to state what the meaning of the R's number was just to have some sooper sekret double meaning. fordmantpw
I just hope it's at the NAIAS...because I'm planning to be there for the first time ever!

It's a safe bet Bronco will be there, but I highly doubt that's when the reveal will be. Ford has been having it's major model debuts at private events days or weeks before some auto show so they control the entire environment and get all the publicity that day -- and given the showmanship they're putting into Bronco I completely expect the same for this model. Agreed, I don't expect the reveal there.
