No, you don't need a steamer (I don't think we even had one in the shop). Just some spray silicone to make them slide on easy, some hog rings (assuming they still use those...it's been nearly 30 years), and a hog-ring pliers. If they've got a few wrinkles after you get them on, let them sit out in the hot sun for a few days and they'll work out. -

And honestly these are the kinds of things I look at the union and say WTF are you doing? This seems like exactly the kinds of things they should be actively fighting, instead we hear nothing and if asked it’s deflect deflect deflect. -

No they are actually for field use...its for light infantry units-better then walking everywhere. GM already sells LSSV, which is just a Silverado with 24V system and some other modifications for light duty.
