  1. The thing is that Ford wanted to do something different with the truck vs keeping it looking the same as it did previously. The 04 F-150 and the 02 Explorer shared the same problem, they had timeless Truck and SUV looks to them that was hard to improve upon. Some of the '10 Models Grills aren't the best, but they don't look nearly as bad as they do in person, such as peoples complants with the '10 Fusion Grill Here are my fav Current F-150 packages...notice both of them don't have a chrome grill on them
  2. And how much more opening behind the grill is there over the '10 F-150 vs the 09 F-150? It doesnt look to me that there has been a huge change (besides shape) that would make the '10 more diesel friendly for cooling...
  3. I saw my first 2010 Fusion yesterday up in NYC....look really good in person. My bro-in-law got his Hybrid Fusion yesterday, and I'll be checking that out Wednesday afternoon.
  4. So the MPG is so bad on it that it can't even compete with the other trucks on the market that have a larger engine?
  5. Looks like its sucking on something sour...LOL
  6. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090510/ap_on_...HBlcnRzc2F5Z20-
  7. If anything it should be around the same as AWD Taurus....if it not, whats the point?
  8. Thats pretty friggen horrible! The 2010 Mustang gets roughly the same MPG! Ugh I thought it was gonna be closer to 18/25
  9. I think thats new record...almost 10 years with no postings! Though I thought that this place had a database melt down or two since it opened up and lost the record of people registered for the message boards
  10. I have two years left on the Mustang and I figure another 2 years to save for a downpayment...thats if I don't get married anytime soon and can swing saving $$$ for a house with a Garage to stick the Mustang in to save as a future collectors cars to take to shows with in say 2031 :P
  11. The problem is that Ford doesn't offer something to seriously compete with the bigger engines you can get in other trucks....its lacking in bragging rights when it comes to engines...
  12. Man I hope Gas stays around 3-3.50 or so bucks a gallon the next couple years or so...I really want one of these!
  13. Well Ford really screwed up the SVT Focus (both in the way it was sold and well it wasn't the most reliable car out there either) But I don't have any expectations of the Focus RS selling anymore then 3-5K units a year here in the States (about what the SVT did in its 2-3 years of existence) and thats also very dependent on Price...if they can sell them at 28K or so they can make good $$$ on them and still move them.
  14. I had the same problem (squeaky tie rods) with my 98 Mustang GT, I got some grease and a large hypodermic needle and went into the boot to injected some grease to take care of the problem...but that was before I sold it I know the Ranger had a similar issue to it, it was a really narrow rod with a bushing on the end of it that sqeeked like a pig going over bumps. It cost about $15 bucks (though the last time I got one for my old man I think it was closer to $30) and took about 15 minutes to change out.
  15. I've seen this in other industries, but they still have a ways to go to even come close with what the Japanese or Europeans are doing. You can only learn so much by copying things
  16. And how much different is the current F-150 then the older gen? Not much...
  17. Would be very interesting if they could work out something.....
  18. Because the car will be tuned for US tastes instead of being half-assed like the Astra was. Why do you think its taking so long to bring over the Fiesta, besides not having plant ready for it? Define small car...cars smaller then a Focus won't sell in large numbers in the US and that seems like most of what Chrysler is getting from them, then add in the odd-ball styling that they have and they won't be big player in market...they'd be lucky to sell 50K or less of any of the models they have coming over here in their current form.
  19. I saw my first '10 Mustang, Think it was a V6 Model in Grabber Blue, which was the only reason I noticed it since it was parked at a convenience store as I drove by
  20. What 63 Series? Ha, when were you in? I did Basic at Knox and was a Bradley Automotive systems mechanic there in 1993-1994 Oh about me, I'm 34...been a Ford Fan since I was a kid, My old man officially retired from Ford just a month or two ago, even though EAP was closed back in 2004 or so. Did 4 years active duty as a Bradley mechanic an another 4 in the National Guard...I HATED it. Was always into computers, so went to tech school for them after getting out of the Army and been doing IT since 98. Finished up College last year. I work for the Army Reserve since 2001 as contractor...so I've been involved with the Military in some shape or form since I was 18 years old.
  21. Nothing like inviting in more competition by giving away what you had....
  22. Last time I checked MPG wasn't a measure of emissions :P Still lots of talk about regulating CO2 output from cars in the States, but personally its not worth the hot hair that it actually is...
  23. Wow the styling does nothing for me (ok the Mito is kinda interesting, but overstyled for American likes IMO), why do I see this whole thing going down in a ball of flames?
