  1. Have you opened a Mach-E door? I was concerned at first but came to love the button. Granted I don’t have long nails, but I’m skeptical of your assertion. I miss the Mach-E approach on my Lightning.
  2. It was the two Hummers that put them over Ford had the Lightning shutdown due to the battery issue, as well as trying to ramp up the Mach-E.
  3. Gasoline vehicles will never take off. Gasoline? Where can I buy gasoline? I can feed my horse anywhere. Gas stations didn’t appear overnight.
  4. There are certainly some who would not buy a Ford, even if upgraded. The question is how many, and are they worth the opportunity cost.
  5. I have access to thousands of accessories for my Lightning. How many aftermarket manufacturers are going to step up for limited production RAM and Silverado BEV accessories, and how fast?
  6. I can feed my horse anywhere - where am I going to buy a gallon of gasoline!?
  7. Gen2 Lightning and second TN BEV should be out at the same time as well, right?
  8. We have a Maverick (non-Tremor, wanted more towing capacity) on order for my wife. Hopefully we don’t have to wait as long as I did for my Mach-E!
  9. A fixed top Bronco makes much more sense for the US.
  10. Didn’t DHL just place an order for etransits too? I like the look of the brightdrops. Would make a cool RV.
  11. Wish they’d have published the list. As an owner of a Ford EV it’d be nice to know if I can continue my relationship with my dealer (whom I’ve bought my last four cars from, have one on order from, and have used for service for more than a decade). I’m sure I could reach out to my salesman, but most don’t have that kind of relationship.
  12. You’re doing it wrong. (I hope Superformance eventually releases their GR1)
  13. Haven’t seen a Brightdrop yet. Have been curious if they’d strike a deal with an RV manufacturer. Would make a cool rv.
  14. We’ve had the Rivian vans by us for months now. They look sharp.
  15. I figured it was a similar decision to not using the Rivian platform.
  16. Toyota has tried. They have a BEV that stumbled out the gate (wheels fell off). The Lexus version has been advertised a lot lately.
  17. This post is not about the Maverick, and there are no $35k Lightnings.
  18. Yeah, it’s an odd change for the Lightning. AM is a challenge for EVs. A lot of manufacturers dropped it for this reason. My Mach-E did ok, but depending on the station could pick up interference from the motors. My Lightning has outstanding AM reception. I’d say better than my ICE vehicles, with absolutely no interference. With Ford explanation as to why they hold onto the whip antenna (rural) it seems odd to lose AM on the Lightning as rural customers are more likely to miss it/not be able to supplement with streaming.
  19. The weird thing is it’s just the Pro that went up in price, and it’s sold out for the 23 model year.
  20. I could not be happier with my Lightning for towing. I tow our Scout Trailer, a 6,000lb dual axle cargo trailer. The truck is a towing beast, the weight of the truck plus 700flb of instant torque meant I barely felt the trailer behind me. Sure, it cut my range in half, but it’s more than enough range for my needs. The only thing I can’t do is tow to summer camp, but I’m happy to leave that to someone else anyway.
  21. Teslas do not come with CCS adapters. They only recently started selling them in the US. People had been importing them from Asia, which is also CCS1, for a year or so. The vast majority of EVs do not use plug and charge. When not using my Ford account (which does plug and charge) EA could not care less if I’m in my Lightning, my old Mach-E, a Taycan, or an EV6. The payment process is the same. (EA account using either the app or tap to start the device). I can do plug and charge if I use my Ford account, but it is not at the discounted EA membership rate. EvGo has just started doing plug and charge - I haven’t tried it yet, but probably will, as I don’t get a discount with them anyway. I believe the rest of the networks have proprietary payment methods that are also vehicle agnostic.
