Regardless, I don’t think your air dam is that big. And I thought the one they put on my old Superduty was big.

I don’t disagree. It’s really bizarre they are hamstringing their own new model without adding that third shift. It’s clear they couldn’t sufficiently meet demand for the Bronco without sacrificing substantial Ranger production.

I think a 6 foot bed for the Ranger is important, and makes the truck more useful. If they don’t offer it, I think they’re just being present in the market and are not attempting to challenge for the lead.

Ford Marshall Plant to Resume, But Be Scaled Back
tbone replied to Footballfan's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Im running a MachE in 22 degree weather this week for the first time, with heavy wind so it will be interesting to see what the range loss is. And I’m not turning down the heat to gain range… -
Has anyone seen any recent news on the 2025 Expedition release date? My Nephew needs to replace their Explorer soon, and wants the updated model. He’s trying to understand how long he might have to wait in order to aid in the decision making.

New Jersey to Require 35% Electric Vehicle Sales by 2026
tbone replied to silvrsvt's topic in E.V. Central
So far it doesn’t appear that Ford’s customer base is onboard with Bob yet. -
It’s an example of trying to be different for different’s sake, which hasn’t gone that well.

2024 Nautilus Premier II Review
tbone replied to RedHoncho01's topic in Lincoln Nautilus / MKX Forum
Yes, this seems completely unnecessary to me. I would like to see this in action to see if it is as cumbersome as it seems it would be. -
As an American company, I actually do want Tesla to be successful, but this thing is different just to be different, and not in a good way. It doesn’t seem to be doing truck things very well based on the limited information that’s been available so far.

I’ll believe this when I see it. IMO, this is a great product that covers all the bases for the transition to BEVs. It has good electric range and ICE for those areas that have poor charging infrastructure. Kuniskis is right about eliminating range anxiety with this setup, and it doesn’t lack performance. If the price is right, I think they will sell a ton of these.

REPORT: Ford Dealers Do Not Trust the Blue Oval
tbone replied to ice-capades's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
So, the distrust is based on Ford’s EV sales strategy. For example, tying Ford specialty vehicle allocation to dealerships’s EV sales. I can see why something like that would generate distrust. -
Honda Prelude Returns As An Electrified Concept
tbone replied to silvrsvt's topic in Competing Products
I like it. The profile looks very sharp to me. I was a big fan of the 4th gen, 91-96. Other than the 4th generation, the rest of the gens didn’t appeal to me until this concept. -
Haha, I don’t mind. Since the truck uses Raptor headlights, it does look like a Raptor light with those wheels. I do think it looks good and I’m glad the setup is meeting your expectations. However, I’m still looking forward to the supercharger setup? I read there’s a new Ford Performance 800hp setup now for Mustangs so maybe one for the F150 down the road…

UAW Demands 46% Pay Hike
tbone replied to ice-capades's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I don’t see how they won’t have to raise the costs of vehicles to cover this. It’s either coming from their margin or they are raising prices. I don’t disagree the approval rate is alarming. -
New Ford Product Investments
tbone replied to Trader 10's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Do you think the wording, “…will continue through its planned product lifecycle,” like the Escape and Corsair for example, gives them the flexibility to extend the life of the product and not replace it with an EV until it’s determined to be the appropriate time? That wording is vague to me. -

2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV Previewed; Starting Price About $30k
tbone replied to rperez817's topic in Competing Products
I would not pay $50k for an Equinox. That vehicle has never been at that price point and I would be very concerned about resale on top of it. They should have made it a new model as far as I’m concerned. -
Certainly appears that it will benefit the coasts where the EV density is greater, most likely due to better public charging infrastructure. So now more specialty allocation will go to the coasts where dealers love ADMs costing the consumers more. My dealer didn’t know what the impact was going to be since the policy hasn’t started yet, but he didn’t like the implications. I think it’s a terrible plan and I hope it costs them sales. I think Midwest dealership organizations should be raising alarms about this change, and should consider legal action as far as I’m concerned. They are likely going to be the most affected since EV density is probably the lowest.
-
I read on Ford Raptor Forum that Raptor allocation would be tied to the dealership’s EV sales. I reached out to my dealer to verify, and he said beginning in Q1 all specialty allocation will be tied to EV sales volume. What a brilliant F’n plan by Ford to screw customers.

I had the Taurus version of the 500 for around 65k miles for a work car. Although the looks of the car were very average, the car was bulletproof, very comfortable to drive, and had a ton of room. Had its looks been better, they probably would’ve sold a lot more vehicles. I recognize you are referencing the the 500, which the Taurus was derived from, but it was far from a turd.

That’s not exactly my situation. My Mach E is a work car that I have to charge publicly by company policy, so I am unable to charge at home. I get the full experience of the public charging environment, which in my area is far from adequate, and that is what lead to my charge being that low since I had to travel extra distance to get to the fast charger.
