  2. I got a 2019 Titanium Hybrid as a rental. My 2013 Taurus SEL got rear ended. So I thought I'd post my thoughts on the Fusion. Good things: Interior is very nice. Leather is soft, door panels/dash all nice. Seats have good lumbar, and adjustment is flexible and easy Center Screen was easy to learn Dashboard "My view" is great and easy to learn. MPG so far has been 42, while my Taurus is usually 25-26 for same route to and from work. Radio sound good. All tech is nice, lane keeper warning, to close behind warning etc. 1st time with back up camera Bad: I don't like the turn knob gear shift, id rather have a traditional gear shift on console The key fob , push button start will take some time getting use to. Not mush to not like. My wives Freestar mini van is 14 years old with 205,000 miles, so this will go on the list for the next cat possibilities. How does the hybrid hold up? the gas motor turning off and on seems to me would not be good in long run. Anyone with over a lot of miles, what has been good or bad? mines based on 2 days of driving.
  3. I stopped driving it except weekends in 2015 (bought my Taurus) . My son turned 16 in 2017, and started driving to school. its now got 235,000 miles . Still going well. Its known as Big Red at my sons school . Paint still looks good, Leather seats in good shape.
  4. We will have our: 2005 Ford Freestar mini van. 200,000 miles next week +/-. 2007 Ford Explorer. 235,000 miles
  5. Had a 2003, still have a 2007 (233,000 miles). This new one looks awesome, exterior and interior. Glad towing is up more. I'd love it if it wasn't probably $45,000+ for what I'd want. My 2007 Eddie Bauer was $28,000 new. You can see it here in the background after I got the Taurus.
  6. I may be getting an Edge as a company car to replace my Taurus. Does the Edge engine have the same water pump issues as the Taurus?
  7. twice , 130,000 and 160,000
  8. around 130,000 and 160,000
  9. Ford did the repair of my water pump. that was at 88,000 miles. now I'm at 164,000. Did the repair extend the life, or am i fast approaching another $2,200 repair, or worse? anyone know?
  10. Bad design having it internal. I saw yesterday that a class action law suit has been filed against Ford over the water pump issue. It would be a nice surprise if they issued a recall in response and i got reimbursed for some of my cost. 2013 Taurus (166,000 miles) a ton more issues than that of my 2007 Explorer (235,000 miles), and my wives 2005 Freestar (200,000 miles) Now rear passenger side door lock is having issues and door wont open from inside or outside. Unless you pull up on lock at the same time i hit the unlock button. Radio /cd randomly doesn't work after start. Have to remove key, get out of car and wait 10 sec then restart. then sometimes it will work again. Ready to be rid of it and get something else.

  12. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-ford-gran-torino-4/ 451 Miles, that's crazy. very nice. Not mine, just thought it was pretty amazing.
  13. thanks, i like the looks of the wagon a lot better. i'd really look at that.
  14. So, is that the difference between a wagon and a 4 door hatch, the window in the back area?
  15. There are some really good deals on used C max with leather seats. Are there any issues with the 2015-2017 versions? Why are they not selling many?
  16. My 2007 Eddie Bauer Explorer with 235,000 miles, "leather seating surfaces" still look good. clean condition about once every other month.
  17. Still a lot. I bought a 1992 Ranger XLT regular cab, 4 cyl, 5 speed. a/c, sliding rear window, am/fm-cassette, that was it. $8,500. Drove fro 2 years, put 75,000 miles on it , sold for $7,500. I loved that truck Adjusting for inflation tht is $15,278 today.
  18. I am a Chief Estimator for a General Contractor. I'll get an e mail from a recruiter saying "I saw your resume and thought you would be a great fit for our insurance sales rep in Ohio" . I've never worked in insurance or sales. I've e mailed them with the question, "what in my resume leads you to believe id be a good insurance rep?" No reply. They are just mass e mailing. drives me crazy.
  19. 2005 Freestar now has 185,000 miles. Had the front end rebuilt. No other issues. roll on.
  20. Its in at my local Ford Dealer. $2200 estimate. Yikes.
  21. The last time i had to replace a water pump was in my 1986 Plymouth Turismo (college car) and i was less that $100
  22. So my water pump went out at 82,000. my repair guy says the water pump runs off the main belt. $1,100 repair. what in the world? is that right?
  23. I wish i had got the leather seats. the cloth seats are bad. the nylon type cloth stays dirty, its a pain to clean etc. I wish they were real cloth like our 2005 freestar. why did ford change to that nylon? its in the escape too I know.
