  1. This is no longer accurate. You can extract heat from a heat pump well below 0 degrees.
  2. Do you mean like 40/20/40 type split or the whole tailgate as one section opens from the side? I had the entire tailgate swing on my ridgeline and while it was nice for accessing stuff in the bed, it was hard to keep open on even the slightest decline when parked. Smacked me in the hip many times. A split tailgate just might get me to trade my 22 F-150 for a 24
  3. https://www.autoblog.com/2022/12/13/2024-ford-f150-spy-shots-taillights-tailgate/ It likely is just getting a tailgate similar to the Lightning but I’m holding out hope for a split tailgate.
  4. I travel a lot for work and the local sports station I listen to has an AM band and is on an HD radio simulcast. The HD radio range is less than 40 miles before it cuts out entirely. The AM band is good for close to 150 miles.
  5. This is true of most large corporations. A certain local athletic apparel company has a dedicated executive and sizable team to handle property procurement and development projects for expansion. There is a ton of money at stake to not have someone overseeing it.
  6. Correct! When you see steel flying up like that, you are typically 9-12 months into on site construction. The underground utilities and prep work for an industrial site like this is immense.
  7. You can’t buy what isn’t available. We waited ten months for our vans. Even when I worked at a ford dealership they could never keep stock of them. It’s strange.
  8. We just got two 22 TC for work a few months ago. They are fantastic for our testing service business. Plan was to replace a hodge Podge of CRV’s, econolines, and rangers with them. Guess I will have to find another vehicle suited for it with good mileage.
  9. Pilot, GM, and EVGo to install fast chargers at 500 truck stops. 350 kW capable and available to all brands. This will be good for the EV market and Ford. https://www.autoblog.com/2022/07/14/gm-pilot-truck-stops-evgo-ev-dc-fast-chargers/
  10. Telluride is a very nice ride. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Production woes are wide spread across the industry though. Played this game recently with Toyota and getting a tundra built. Finally said screw it.
  11. It’s too bad. They had some nice features and developments for the standard truck. Maybe other manufacturers will incorporate them in future offerings.
  12. Correct. They sold 8 million shares. Value was about $24/ share This morning. About $192 million worth.
  13. I just purchased a RAV4 Hybrid on order, had to put a $1,000 deposit down to hold the allocation spot. It was clearly written as non refundable unless you can show a legitimate reason for not purchasing (aka financing falling through). I think that would work just fine for orders.
  14. I see it going a different path but agree they won’t be mainstream. Tesla has a large charging network built out and growing monthly. With Tesla finally allowing other manufacturers vehicle to charge at their stations, it can unlock a huge revenue stream. I see their future as a charging/infrastructure company and a boutique producer of vehicles.
  15. https://jalopnik.com/proposed-florida-law-will-help-dealers-screw-you-out-of-1848424536 ”Due to current inventory shortages, this has become a seller’s market for cars, with dealers getting away with even more nonsense than before. Now, a proposed piece of legislation in Florida would allow dealers to opt-out of obtaining your title after the transaction has taken place.” I wonder if new car manufacturer’s, like Ford, can require dealers to provide customers title services.
  16. I would think it would still be available. Almost seems like the entire purpose of the 20/60/20 split for Ford is to maintain having a tailgate step. Other wise they could do 40/60 like others. This ensures the center section is wide and robust enough for a step.
  17. Have you tried calling Ford corporate? My sister had to have her transmission replaced in her 2016 Escape over summer (100k+ miles). $5,500 at the dealership, but Ford stepped up and paid 70% of the cost. Only $1,650 out of pocket.
  18. Semantics. Full functionality of the fob requires a subscription. Anyone who reads the article or post would understand fully what was being discussed. Change the title if you think it makes more sense.
  19. It does require a subscription to get full use of the features advertised. Remote start in your hand using the fob. So yes it does require a subscription to use ALL the features of an item that has come with card standard for a decade plus. also Toyotas remote start system sucks to begin with. If you have started the car remotely, as soon as you open a door the engine shuts off. So then you have to restart it once you get in.
  20. It is not fake news. The remote start function of the Key Fob is tied to the subscription. When you try to remote start with the fob, the car knows the subscription status… so when it goes “inactive” you cannot remote start the car with your physical key fob. Not just the app. I am literally at the Toyota dealer right now and have verified this. We have a 21 Sienna and I am irked.
  21. https://www.thedrive.com/news/43329/toyota-made-its-key-fob-remote-start-into-a-subscription-service This is beyond ridiculous. I get software being a subscription but the PHYSICAL KEY! At some point there needs to be legislation on this.
  22. That hasn’t stopped Ford from shipping to dealers in the mean time. They just print off new stickers that have the final mileage rating. Wonder if there are QC issues or checks happening.
  23. Those are for the eco boost. The hybrid doesn’t appear on there yet.
