  1. Depends on your configuration. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwi3g5PQvub1AhVXjokEHRsMCI0QFnoECA8QAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fleet.ford.com%2Fcontent%2Fdam%2Faem_fleet%2Fen_us%2Ffleet%2Ftowing-guides%2F2022_Ford_RVandTrailerTowingGuide.pdf&usg=AOvVaw0DUUEs7OYSox0Rxw6Ai6fV HRG
  2. When I bought my daughter her '18 Escape (Z-plan), we had a relatively new low-mileage Taurus that we had inherited to use as a trade-in. Went thru a car wash on the way to the dealer, and even parked it so the passenger-side rear door that had a dent was visible and obvious. They gave me an acceptable trade-in value, and we left in the Escape. About a week later, I get a call from the dealership asking if the door dent was there when I brought the car in, or if it happened while in their possession. I explained that I not only washed the car, but had parked it so they could easily see the dent, and yes, it was there at time of trade-in. They thanked me and said goodbye,,, HRG
  3. ?‍♂️ I know, I know, I know! OK Dean, riddle me this. In the example I-C provided above, what do YOU think is a fair amount for the dealer to make on a sale? HRG
  4. Deanh, with all due respect, this begs a couple of questions; 1) In today's market, why stay in the profession? 2) Why do Dealership Associations and Trade Groups fight the online ordering model? HRG
  5. Kunes Ford in Antioch IL is showing a $8K market adjustment on a $24K Maverick, 33%. HRG
  6. Roughly speaking, the top of the ball needs to be at about the 24" top of the coupler dimension, give or take a little. Based on the Gen Y specs (which they specify from the center of the opening) at a "0" setting the top of the ball would be at 23.5", or a little low. Also, they show the best dampening to be at a 1500# - 2400# tongue weight, which may be more than your trailer has. Ball mount inserts are normally specified from the TOP of the opening, so your starting point is 25". With a ball height from base to top of ball at roughly 3", I'd look for a 3" or so drop, so the top of the ball is at 25", minus sag once the 1000# weight is dropped on. HRG
  7. about 6 months ago, the Ford accessories site had that charging cord listed for $59, so I ordered one. After 2-3 weeks, the dealer called me and said he's getting no record of availability, so I admitted that I was just taking advantage of an obvious error, and just cancel the order,,, HRG
  8. And just who do you think should be the arbitrator of the truth? I don't believe that any of the usual Mods actually work for Ford, so a lot of what you read is peoples OPINIONS, not necessarily the truth or fact. I'm not sure who you think should decide if a post is accurate or not? Maybe you think this is a FMC-run forum, it is not. It is owned and moderated by enthusiasts, so it is subject to their point of view. HRG
  9. Yes. the previous 1.5 was a 4-cylinder. HRG
  10. Thank you for steering the conversation back toward Maverick. Mach-E & Cuautitlan discussions should be elsewhere. HRG
  11. It would have been fun if the GT and the C8 had existed at the same time, bringing the Ford vs Chevy debate to a whole 'nother series. HRG
  12. No Fords in the Rolex 24 this weekend? HRG
  13. Got a similar robo-email this morning. Long story short, started working with a dealer in MI to "get in line" for a '23 Lariat Hybrid, once the ordering window opens back up later this year. They were even willing to accept X-plan. Dealer responds that they had a cancellation for a Hybrid, so they would use that build "slot" for mine, so we could still get a '22. A day or so later, the Sales Rep responds that we need to circle-back in a couple of months to look at the opportunity to order. Then, after a couple more exchanges, we get the "we're done here, we will not be placing this order for you" email. This morning, this is in my mailbox,,,, HRG
  14. You kids need to learn how to respond to the other species. The correct response would have been: Don't those $300 shoes just sit in a closet all the time? HRG
  15. Well, I remember that back in October, they were thinking January, and you were hoping for closer to March. Looks like you got your wish (more or less). HRG
  16. Damn, still no shooting brake version,,,,, Hahaha, HRG
  17. It looks better in the "Blackwood" edition,,,, I've talked with a number of Ram owners who have the split tailgate, they all love it. Like others have said, no need to reach over the tailgate to place something in the bed. HRG
  18. I find it slightly funny that they use a whip antenna for best reception in rural areas, on a vehicle that might not make it from one charging station to the next in parts of Montana,,,, HRG
  19. He may be remembering 20-some years ago, Ford (in Dearborn) had a B-plan/B-lot option for employee's to purchase used (exec turn-ins) vehicles, before they ended that program. HRG
  20. I'm not seeing where the Hummer pickup is being offered at $40K, like the base Silverado EV. Let us know where you saw that. HRG
  21. Sorry sir, didn't mean to add to your anguish. Hopefully none of these stalkers are trespassing/fence jumping. HRG
  22. Remind me again why they don't kill Lincoln? If this WAS badge engineering, it would make sense, but with these volumes, and all the bespoke panels, parts and tooling required, I can't imagine how the business case remains. HRG
