  1. I'm not 100% sure on that 60% of F-series sales figure. IIRC, I saw it here somewhere.
  2. So, they went from having a Ford w/ problems to having a Toyota w/ problems?
  3. I see you have a lot of posts today, you may beat me in post count for the day today! I'm going to attempt to not let that happen, but I like to have my posts be good quality posts as well. That's how it's been recently w/ me, staying at the computer a lot, although, I've done it b/c of my broken ankle, it's difficult to get around, so I've been staying home a lot, and there's nothing else to do here, so why not be at BOF?!?
  4. He is a very good guy, he's on my friends list!
  5. That problem will be solved in a few years when the 6.2L Hurricane (or other name) debuts in the Navigator.
  6. Those are pretty cool. I'm especially impressed at how small that Austrailian guy's motor was. I don't understand why they have to make alternative-fuel vehicles so ugly though. Just because you're using a different fuel doesn't mean the car has to be ugly.......cough cough PRIUS cough cough, sorry , there was something in my throat. I like how Ford does it with the Escape, it looks the same as the regular model, and is still a hybrid. I don't want to look like a retard in a Prius/ugly hybrid vehicle, I want to look normal in my Escape. (I don't have one, just an example).
  7. Most people probably don't even notice, like the people at your party. They probably wouldn't recognize that they're American vehicles like your friends didn't.
  8. I found these on youtube. I thought they were impressive, especially the Subaru (the second one). I think it's amazing what they did in paint. I know I use paint for my photoshops and it's difficult to get htem to look how they do, it must've taken these guys forever to do these things. Enjoy!
  9. I'm not sure, but IIRC, there was one on that same truck.
  10. Well, with a name like "guesswhoscomingtodinner" how could he not be a non-credible poster.
  11. It was about the Camaro, but not anymore.
  12. LOL, I assume you're making fun of a one Mr. Clinton?
  13. Did it being a gas hog have anything to do with your right foot? That could've affected your fuel economy results a bit, LOL.
  14. Thanks. What are you referring to past the door handle? Do you mean vents in general or this particular one? Maybe something smaller would help I'm not at all offended, I thank you for your criticism and opinions, b/c to me, that's how I can get better.
  15. I believe that was world-wide sales, now this is US sales. GM is back in the #1 spot, to my knowledge.
  16. My guess is the X5 might be a little heavy to get better fuel economy, still, the figures for it aren't bad though.
  17. Mazda had a good year this year, IIRC, sales were up 9%, overall.
  18. Interesting that there's a $300 fee to buy certain options.
  19. I stopped into Pompano Ford-Lincoln-Mercury today. I like that dealership better than the Pompano Ford dealer, it just seemed nicer. Test drove an MKX and Taurus X, they both drove nicely.
  20. UPDATE: I drove an MKX today, it drove nicely and the interior was nice as well. I think Lincoln did a good job w/ the vehicle. I drove a Dark Ink Blue model w/ the tan interior. It looked nice, but the blue looks almost black, even in direct sunlight. I'm not used to driving a FWD car, it was awkward feeling the torque steer while pulling out of the dealer. We'd get AWD if we got either an MKX or Edge, so that wouldn't be as much of a problem, though. There was also an Edge in the new Light Ice Blue color, that's nice as well. I didn't drive one of these today. One other note, I think it's funny how little salespeople actually know about the cars they sell. The salesperson I drove w/ just moved from a Ford only dealer to Ford-Lincoln-Mercury, so I'll cut him a little slack. For example, he didn't know the MKX had available heated rear seats. Also, doesn't the MKX have more sound insulation than the Edge? He said it doesn't but I think it does, am I right? He was a really nice guy though. My mom and I also drove a Taurus X as well. It drove nicely also. It was an Eddie Bauer model, white w/ tan interior and the 18"s. All I can say is I'm waiting for the Flex to come out. The salesperson I was with today says he's going to buy one when they come out.
  21. From BOF here, I've read about the rumors of a new engine for the 2009 model year(?) along w/ a new transmission, IIRC. I'm just going on what I remember reading here, so I could be wrong, though.
  22. I can't wait to see it. Lincoln needs a new product like this to bring excitement to the brand.
