  1. I know too many people burned by the Focus and their sh**ty transmissions. Never a Ford again they said. Also, nobody cares if it's warranted. All they want is a GD car that wont break own and will operate like it's supposed to. I am personally sick and tired of Ford's crappy product launches and constant glitches. Strive to get it right the first time or just pack up and go out of business.
  2. Time to start saying goodbye to Taurus. It's in a shrinking full sized car market with sales going to SUVs. The best that can be hoped for is an improved Fusion in the future with more interior room. The Fusion itself is endangered if the preference for SUVs continues.
  3. That is what my immortal 1991 Ford Probe LX has! The previous owner put a Flowmaster muffler on it and it sounds pretty good.
  4. I wonder how many years it will take for the rest of Lincolns CUVs to get the Continental facelift before the next face of Lincoln appears? They need to get it together!
  5. I used to be so good at identifying MCEs since I was a kid but not anymore. I can see all of this generation Explorers all together and not even know which one came first. Different is not always fresh. It's like the old days when all that might get changed is a grille pattern.
  6. I grieve the fact that it does not have Continental Mark hallmarks like a Rolls-style chrome radiator grille, spare tire hump and padded rear side quarter window inserts with oval porthole windows...
  7. This is nothing new if anyone remembers Philco products owned by Ford.
  8. There is a president for this when Lincoln was a two model lineup between 1968 and 1976... There was the full-sized Continental and the Continental Mark.
  9. The only thing that is similar is the basic sillhouette which is visible at this angle. The flanks of the two cars are completely dissimilar. The MKZ has flat beveled lines and surfacing while the Continenral has rounded soft contours and more french curves, not to mention a raised powerdome hood that extends forward to a protruding grille.
  10. Yeah that Zephyr concept was styled AFTER the production versions were finalized as is usually the case with most so called concept cars that appear a year before the production models do
  11. True, the average consumer knows that it is a FORD that failed them and isn't going to give it any consideration if there is another Ford product that is more reliable. The customer is already betrayed so the idea of another Ford is instantly shut down.
  12. Think about what an inch is. Almost nothing. That means a half an inch difference on each side of the vehicle. That could be the difference in door mirror designs or slightly more bulged out door skin or wheel opening lip. One inch of exterior width is not going to make a difference in interior room.
  13. There is never anything newsworthy posted here that I have not already seen first on regular newsfeeds. This used to be a prime go-to source. It has not been that in many years.
  14. That was my first thought too reading about this. It seems ridiculous to shut down when buyers in the export markets are clamoring to get them.
  15. It's like Chevy announced that there was a new Camaro a year later than it was released along with incentives to buy it because you know that no one had any idea they were building a new car which was overpriced.
  16. People see the Bronco name and have great expectations of a reboot of the original. They are going to be disappointed when they find out it is an Everest of a different name.
  17. I would not be too concerned about not seeing a Ranger or Bronco in development. If they are all new then at this point they are disguised as mules on existing bodies, or they are just existing designs to be assembled at Wayne.
