I think it will be quite some time since as a former colony of the British Empire and being in the subservient role while under the crown, now that an Indian conglomerate has control of two very prestigious brands (in Great Britain at least)...Tata will continue funnel boatload after boatload of cash into these two marquees as a gigantic "F-U" to the former taskmasters in Great Britain. T-Stag must change his underwear 4 or 5 times a day from all the excitement.

I took an ingot silver SE out for a spin last week....overall, nice, but I cannot seem to find if power seats are available...would assume they are standard on a Titanium?

My 2006 Ford Fusion SE with the 3.0L V6 just rolled past 123K miles with NO major repairs needed. I have all the maintenance done either at the Ford garage or by my own hand.....can the Ford garage service get pricey at times? Sure....but it is a heck of a lot cheaper than replacing the car.

I stopped at the show on Friday after work...45 minute train ride from the Bedford Hills station, then about 10 minutes on the bus to 11th ave and a short walk to the Javits Center....enjoyed the show a lot (my first one) sat in plenty of cars.....felt a heavenly experience as I watched the spokes-model talk about the Chrysler 300 M SRT8...I came away with a "there was a car on the podium" moment....gawd she was stunning! Sadly, no pics......Lincoln site was conservative....I am really liking the MKS or MKZ....but the MKT and MKX were drawing A LOT of curious lookers....no crabbing about the looks...... Jaguar display was cool....the XJ Range was a real looker....sharp, sharp, sharp....lots of cool cars, lots of fun displays....

There is one Ford/Lincoln dealership in metro Rome NY....

Damnit Mark! You beat me to it....first thing I noticed was that the grille styling looks like it came from a 1972 Gran Torino....(base Torinos had a different grille)...not a bad thing mind you...I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Torinos.....my first "nice" car was a 1976 version....

Yeah....those SRX's are crap....thank God he had a Fusion....

And don't forget the first ever sync application with a SYNCromesh transmission....

On the Super Duty line, it looks good since it is an actual drop down from the main window area....however, on the F150, I agree since it is not really a drop-down...rather they hiked up the rest of the main window area lower line and resulting hiking of the top rail of the box making the box look garishly tall.... Now, if they take the doors from the Expedition and chop down the top rail of the box to match the lowered window line and, oh hell.....put Expy front fenders, hood, grille on it....AND put it on a serious diet....you got the new F100 that would dovetail right into the coveted F-Series sales round up. and not cannibalize F150 sales....

Lincoln movie With Ford revamping Lincoln and this movie set to come out in Fall 2012....possibly an opportunity for Ford to promote the brand named after our 16th President?

Noah....actually it is called a parking brake...from my owners manual on page #161.... Parking brake To set the parking brake (1), pull the parking brake handle up as far as possible. The BRAKE warning lamp will illuminate and will remain illuminated until the parking brake is released. To release, press and hold the button (2), pull the handle up slightly, then push the handle down.

Chrysler does this with the new Pentastar V6 as well....my guess is that the aftermarket will pick up on this and create "cylinder head / header" combo packages for the tuner market with possibly a "core program" whereas you purchase a set of heads with the integrated manifold machined off, and send your heads back as a core so they can perform the same machining to them for resale. Then you pick the headers of your choice.....

Looking at the title of this thread makes me chuckle.....In NY State, gassing up in Westchester county town of Bedford Hills, the price is $4.09 this morning...what will happen? I shrug my shoulders, curse under my breath, insert my credit card in the pump and start filling the tank again.....<sigh>

Not the train operators, but the trucking company trying to screw the OTR drivers by slashing their wages by 20% and Teamsters responding by threatening a strike. During the informational pickets though, there were several union train company employees that honored the picket and refused to cross the picket line....chalk this up to Allied Trucking..... link

Magoo5....if you want to come here on an enthusiast web site and complain about Ford you can...just don't expect any sympathy when you whine and cry about issues....take your complaining clap-trap on the hop.....and go cancel your order and get a Toyota....plenty of them sitting around.....
