  1. It's geared towards millennials and the ever growing hipster population, many of whom don't ever intend on purchasing their own car.
  2. There's also the matter that other than the obvious weight savings from the 350R over the 350, the specs between the two are nearly identical. I don't understand paying more for the R if you're just going to put a back seat right back in it. Maybe it's because I'm looking at it from a broke-ass millennial's perspective.
  3. That's part of my point. If you're going to offer a V-8 (a Turbo V-8 for that matter) with only a slight boost in power over the top v-6, Why even bother if it's not for a V-car?
  4. They're probably for summer help and they don't intend on them being made permanent But then again, right before we were laid off DTP made a bunch of LTS permanent and the union let it happen. So basically fuck you, that's why.
  5. I just don't understand the logic of ordering a car that doesn't come with a backseat then asking for one later on....
  6. So they're getting horsepower in the "upper 400s" with a turbo V8, yet Ford/Lincoln is getting 400+ out of a turbo V6 that's smaller. Something doesn't seem right about that
  7. that article isn't entirely accurate we only worked 6 days a week a handful of times (4 or 5 since labor day). since the beginning of the year we've only been working 8 hour shifts instead of the 10 hour shifts we were working from labor day to christmas.
  8. That's 2013. What about 2014 and 2015? Or better yet, the trend for say, 5 years. One year is far too small of a sample size to be able to judge anything.
  9. That more likely has to do with production feasibility rather than making it different just to make it different.
  10. I saw it there too, but i thought it was more metallic than Tectonic is. Either way, I didn't care for it too much but that's just me.
  11. Honestly, if the 4x8 plywood issue is a big enough and constant enough problem, I'm buying a pickup, not a SUV.
  12. I recently discovered that myself and it really bugs me. Stupid people not wanting manuals.....
  13. Good luck finding an article where they road test one with a manual. They're a rare breed for sure At freeway speeds, the RPM holds at around 3000. It's more irritating in the 08 than it is in the 15 due to the lack of soundproofing in the older car. I drove the 15 from Detroit up to Big Rapids back in November and the higher RPM didn't annoy me nearly as much as they did when I took the older car for the same trip a few years back.
  14. I have a 2008 Focus with the 5speed, and a 2015 Focus hatchback with the 2.0/5speed same transmission, very similar engine (actually the same engine with some upgrades). I like them until I get up to around 70 on the freeway, then I feel the RPM holds too high, it could really use a 6 speed. Other than that no complaints. I've gotten almost 178k miles out of the original factory clutch in the 08 and still going strong.
  15. It's a niche product, it's not intended for everyone who wants one to get one.
  16. Uh, you do realize that the intention is to keep production limited right? It's the same thing they've been doing with he Shelby Mustangs for years.
  17. ^you can take FRAP off that list. TC is way too tall for that plant.
  18. And that would be just fine. MKR just sounds ridiculous. At least there's a history there in calling it Mk IX.
  19. Just for the love of all things holy call it something else.....
  20. Not to mention it's doing a lot to piss off the UAW, and there's a good chance that's not going to end well
  21. http://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/general-motors/2016/01/14/gm-import-cadillac-ct-sedan-china/78808764/ I can't fault the logic from a business standpoint, but boy this seems bound to blow up in their face.
