  1. It was 444hp. This looks to be a flatter torque curve, and given the IRS should be a much more track-able car
  2. The engine is 98% ready, it will be up to the powers that be to build the car.
  3. Hope your vacation went well. 1FA6P8RF7F5500069 Got the VIN from the Dealer last week, but no scheduling/tracking info.
  4. Heard anything on LEs getting scheduled?
  5. Hopefully the new Mustang will unseat the Camaro. Lots of buzz at car shows with folks who aren't brand tied
  6. Drop the "b" that was the beta. It is just www.cotus.ford.com It works for about half of the people and has been temperamental toward browsers in beta. If your dealer has more than 1 vehicle loaded against the same order number (yes, he can do that) it won't work until you get a VIN. I'm sure when they want the general public to use it, Ford media will do a release.
  7. Pope Francis know what to drive. I could see him in a custom Transit
  8. Thank you sir, have a great vacation, I'll check back in three weeks or so.
  9. Thank You for the awesome generosity of your time. Dealer Code F23206 Order 0001 DORA 5/20/14 2015 Mustang GT, Kona Blue, Automatic If it is too early for visibility, I'll check back closer to production. Have a great vacation.
  10. Your dealer can order them now, but it will show material hold, plus you won't know if he gets an allocation in the first week for what you want. Best to get to be friends with the guy who does the ordering or GM (beer/BBQ) Watch for commodity issues, if you want Nav and the Nuclear plant in Japan goes, or Microsoft catches a nasty VIRUS you'll want to avoid ordering those options or be prepared for a long wait.
  11. Back in the day when it was predominately Men who shopped for cars, any racing was good advertising. This century more women work, shop and buy cars. Also, there are more pretty boy guys who think gap is a place to shop. I really don't mind the decrease in sponsorship as long as they keep making faster cars to sell to me, back woods dirt tracks are still more fun, and red light drags are a blast.
  12. Maybe it was just bad luck at the rail yard. Were the other sequence numbers the same type truck? If your truck was larger (4X4) they may have need to put a lower height car/truck on so tree branches wouldn't schwack it the whole way. Or you ordered a really awesome truck and the yard help wanted to hang on to it a bit to show off their buds. I have a Kona Blue LE coming sometime in the future, I kinda expect it to make its way slowly if it comes out in the first batch. Just as long as there isn't scratches and PB&J finger prints on it, I'll be happy just to get it.
  13. I would have liked to have seen more tow capability. 3500 isn't much when GM CUVs get you 5000. The titanium will be a nice add.
  14. It is fairly easy to engineer/build a variable tie down system, I'm paying 750 extra for navigation, I'd gladly pay that for functional tie down points.
  15. Ummm, aren't they playing with DI on the Coyote motor?
  16. Not complaining, ( I noticed it came off that way...uhggg), just suggesting something more friendly to fido. Tie downs made for crates for example. Sure there are tie downs, but locations are not good for crates. A flat floor in the rear of the Explorer/Expedition without crevices for paws to get stuck in. There are many things that could be done. It's about making a more comfortable, safe and secure environment for animals. It is also an opportunity to have exterior cues to represent what the vehicle is designed for. A hunting edition, or make the King Ranch dog friendly. I travel with three large Labs and know many other hunters/farmers who do the same. A common theme as we age is that it gets to be a pain lifting 100lb dogs into a crate in the back of a pickup. It is easier to let them in the back door, but the environment there is not so friendly to them.
  17. One for every 11 million people. They'll need a few good salesman, or a government official to tell them to buy Ford.
  18. Saturday August 16th, 10:00 AM-7:00 PM: 16th Mustang Alley and Ford Motor Company Showcase, 20th Woodward dream cruise. They will be drawing for the 50th LE Convertible. Maybe some SVT rumors will emerge. Oh, and its a heck of a party!
  19. Why can't Ford build pet friendly trucks and SUVs? There are 40 million dog owners in the US. If only 2% bought a pet friendly truck or SUV for fido, that is 800,000 units. I told Edsel Ford about the idea and he said he'd buy one, so why not make them? There are lots of good aftermarket items, but none built for a brand. They do not always fit correctly.
  20. Have you tried using this? http://www.cotus.ford.com/ updated to reflect it is no longer beta, dropped the b after US
  21. Current DD is a 13 Acadia Denali, i have a 02 Mustang GT Drop Top also. On order is a 2015 Mustang 50th LE. Future... truck to replace the Denali is undetermined. I have three large Labs that travel with me, I have been driving Yukon Denalis since 03. The Acadia is great with the dogs, but sucks at towing. With the new Mustang I want to be able to pull it on long trips 1000M+ Any one use an Expedition to pull a car trailer...thoughts? I like the F-Series truck, but think the dogs would be too cramped on long trips. Anyone experienced with hauling dogs in a crew cab?
