  1. I think the 22" tires on the BL's are especially sensitive to tire pressure. I felt like ours was a bit sharp hitting some pretty minor imperfections... dropping a few PSI's made all the difference.
  2. I don't know, but I once carried a small block Ford V8 600+ miles in my '07 Navi L. It was strapped to a 4x8' sheet of heavy plywood... maybe 3/4"? I figured that would help distribute the weight. Everything went fine.
  3. Maybe mine doesn’t work? I have that button and have pressed it countless times but the gate never budges. I assumed it was used to set the height limit… I’ll experiment a little more but I think I have a dealer visit to schedule. Thanks everyone!
  4. I hope they've added a button in the cargo area to close the power tailgate. My '07 and '16 Navi's both had a button. It was delightful. My '20 Black Label only has the "do the hokey-pokey" kick under-the-bumper thing if you want to close the tailgate while you're standing next to it. While this is a cool alternative, it only seems to work if the key is within 3' of the tailgate. If I walk away while my kid is fetching his soccer stuff, the gate refuses to close no matter how he kicks his feet. I imagine Ford saved $4 by de-contenting the button, but the loss in real world functionality has been disappointing. I'm pleased I can't tell differentiate the '22 from my '20. Thank you Lincoln!
  5. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. My window sticker says Ambient Lighting as well... I think there’s a glitch in my matrix!
  6. Here are my choices if I swipe left.
  7. One more swipe in Settings gets me Valet, Personal Profiles, and Seats.
  8. Here’s what I’m doing... I hit “vehicle” , then “ambient lighting” and the 3rd screen is what I get... just the brightness slider. “Reset” repositions it to the center, and aside from sliding the slider... nothing changes.
  9. I just bought a 2020 Black Label that was built in November 2019... I'm not seeing any way to change the colors on the ambient lighting (admittedly a First World problem!). Any word if there's a software update available? When I get into the appropriate screen all I see is a slider bar for brightness, no color options are presented. Is the software a dealer update or available via wifi?
  10. From what I've seen you've been refreshingly rationale and patient with Lincoln in trying to get full functionality from your vehicle. At some point, someone has to say "enough is enough" and I'm happy to see the courtesies you extended were offered back to you.
  11. I give you a 95/100 on the installation and 100/100 on being a cool, dedicated dad! Well done!
  12. Tire Rack’s website shows compatibility with even some 17” wheels... I’d think all the F150 stuff from the past 15 years or so would likely interchange. That certainly doesn’t mean every 17” or 18” wheel will work, but should be lots of aftermarket options available in a variety of sizes.
  13. All the Black Label Navi's are 4wd. The tires might be all-seasons, but not many of those 22" toboggans offer much ability to dig in and grip!
  14. Does this feature work on other current Navigators? All of the Sirius/XM stuff is licensing related. The car manufactures and the Sirius negotiate every stupid point... maybe it's no longer part of the package?
  15. If for some reason they don't, just take the door apart and disconnect the rod from the inside door handle. Not as convenient, but that's how all the old police cars were handled.
  16. I'm not sure I've ever read 7 more unrelated sentences than those in the original post. Can you offer some clarification?
  17. dfs, I agree the "marketing types" mess up a lot of potential purchases. I passed on a new SHO as it wasn't available with a light interior. My 2016 Navigator is a lowly "Select" as my preferred blue paint wasn't offered on the plusher "Reserve". The 2018 Black Label Navigators weren't offered with an 8-passenger option, just the swanky/less practical 2nd row Captain's Chairs. I understand entertaining multiple combinations can cost money, but not offering choices costs sales.
  18. My 2016 runs the same winter package I had on our 2007, chrome 18” F150 wheels, TPMS, and Blizzaks. I believe they’d bolt onto the 18+ vehicles but I’m not sure the older TPMS is still compatible. The 20’s on the ‘07 were horrible in the snow and our ‘16 has 22’s. Tall and narrow works best, so we went with 18’s. Rarely need 4wd, but couldn’t stop or steer on the big, wide toboggans.
  19. Snowmotion, Thank you! Our '07 had no console. Our '16 came with one and I removed it and replaced it with a center seat acquired inexpensively through car-parts.com... a wrecking yard network. We really like the 8 person functionality. I was bummed when the '18 Black Label's were only offered with 7-passenger seating... it looks exotic but just doesn't work for us. I'd like to upgrade to the new design but the popularity of the console (and not knowing if it could be deleted) was really limiting my pre-owned choices!
