  1. It’s hideous regardless of when or which distance you might “notice” it.
  2. Of course the transaction prices have increased for the first half of year due to limiting supply. You better believe that Ford will add incentives on every last one of those F-series that have been waiting on chips to move them. We may not have a full understanding of the impact until late 4th quarter.
  3. I’ve had the same experiences at multiple dealers, these issues are not exclusive to Ford. For instance, I just purchased a Kia Soul (not ashamed) as a bridge vehicle until my Bronco arrives. My son will inherit the Kia and drive it thru his college years and beyond. Dealer was a joke, they cared more about scheduling my first service than taking the $2500 down payment. However, the Lincoln dealers I’ve dealt with have been fantastic. In fact, just had the Navigator in for scheduled service this morning and it was another excellent experience.
  4. More of a threat to what competition? 330hp/415 lb-ft of torque isn’t enough in a stock Bronco? I suppose if customers are concerned with 0-60 times, they can go buy a V8 Jeep.
  5. ^^^Agree @tdubz. I would definitely consider ordering those wheels in all black for my Outer Banks. The stock wheels on the OB are about the only thing I don’t like about the appearance.
  6. Nice build and I’m sure you are elated to have a build date! I reserved a 4-door Outer Banks on 7/31 and switched to a soft top with the hope of my order being pulled. I have a second 4-door Outer Banks reservation with zero compromises (black mod top, etc). That later reservation will be submitted as an order whenever mod tops become available. If I can’t live with the soft top, I will have another option for ~2023 MY.
  7. Congrats! You have likely mentioned this, but what is your reservation timestamp and build specs?
  8. Correct. My Bronco (on order) will be acquired at invoice with zero doc fee. In addition, I can walk in today and buy any vehicle on the lot at invoice with zero doc fee.
  9. Keep in mind, there are dealers that will sell vehicles below MSRP (regardless of the current market). In fact, there are 2 Ford dealers in my region that sell vehicles at invoice. Low overhead, no negation required. In addition to invoice price, one dealer offers ZERO “doc fee” and the other requires $86 for the “doc fee”. So, while your statement regarding MSRP or above above might be true for many dealers, there are other options. If you are in the market to buy now, do some research.
  10. Not sure you understand my point. Of course the Ranger is a competitor to Gladiator in the mid-size truck segment (although I don’t believe they are cross-shopped all that much). Ranger isn’t in the same class as far as lifestyle vehicles are concerned….removable doors, removable top, off road ability. Bronco truck is supposed to be “different” than Gladiator according to “insiders”. How so? Because Bronco has IFS? Bronco suv (the big one) is a direct competitor to Wrangler, why would Bronco truck be different? The answer is…it’s not. Ford is looking to capitalize on a profitable segment and I don’t blame them. I’m looking forward to what the 2023 Ranger has to offer and waiting on Bronco truck to arrive. Until then, with any luck, I will be enjoying my soft top Bronco.
  11. True, but it does mean that Ford is building a left-hand drive regular cab Ranger for fleet use.
  12. This article/photos may disagree with your statement. Although, I assume regular cab Rangers will be built specifically for fleet contracts. https://www.carscoops.com/2021/06/ford-caught-testing-worksite-special-single-cab-version-of-2023-ranger/
  13. Valid point, but for me, range anxiety doesn’t come from driving around town or commuting to the office. It’s about the freedom I have with a gas powered vehicle to take any route I choose and not have to worry about stopping every 200-400 miles for an extended period of time to fuel up. Never mind the fact that battery range is basically unknown when traveling as conditions change (ambient temp, etc). Sure you can work around that by planning the appropriate route, but some folks don’t want to deal with that.
  14. Nav is getting a landscape oriented center display. Larger than the current 10.1” but it won’t be 15.5”.
  15. Now with less camo: https://fordauthority.com/2021/05/2022-ford-expedition-timberline-spied-again-with-much-less-camo/
  16. Maybe the projection screen that was installed on the headquarters building will look better after the sun goes down?
  17. Oh look. The “us against them” mafia has arrived. Who cares if someone doesn’t like the name? It’s a god damn car.
  18. Lightning=F150 EV: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a36302400/ford-f-150-lightning-electric-name/
  19. So you qualified your initial comment by explaining YOUR situation. While this vehicle may not work for you, in this size/class, the rear door entry and rear seat/leg room is comparable and a non issue (unless you wish to compare it to a vehicle in another class).
  20. Correct. In a vehicle that will compete in size/class (and who knows..maybe price) with the Maverick.
  21. Which card is the right card? We’ve seen pics of the Maverick and know what it’s capability will be based on Escape/Bronco Sport/TC. The Santa Cruz will likely tow more and offers more available power. Also, it has a rear bumper that resembles something that was designed for truck duty. The only cards I can think of at this point is price (Maverick should be less expensive) and Ford truck brand marketability. Keep in mind, exterior design is subjective, but I think both the Mav and SC are attractive.
  22. Yep, this location is ~10 miles from my home. We’ve been there a couple of times, it’s quite a unique experience for a Ford enthusiast.
