NickF1011
Dodge builds a better SynUS... It's that kinda like "better STD"??? I'd rather avoid them altogether.
NLPRacing
It's that kinda like "better STD"??? I'd rather avoid them altogether. I would like to replace my daily driver (Festiva) with one of these B size boxes, but it will have to be a Ford. Hopefully Ford's will look more like the Bronco concept with the SynUS/Hornet doors and maybe even a diesel. Hopefully the Festiva will last until then.
Drake
Yuck! Looks like a Mini on roids. And that's not a good thing.
156n3rd
I think it is cool as it fits in with models that young and old want. A little whacky style and utility. Yes it looks like many other vehicles on the road and those yet to come out. I too wish Ford would have something like this. DCX is competing in the open market and have the right idea. Now we'll see whom else comes up with a likely competitor.
01FOCI
Its another car like the xB aimed at penniless skateboarder/surfers etc, maybe their mom will but them one!
robertlane
Maybe their mom will buy them one. . .a lot of moms out there. Then, the kid might will buy one for themselves or their children. . .and so the cycle goes......... Something like this might be what kids want anyway - something expressively cool. Look at the Scion Xb. Scion planned the Xb to be purchased by more youthful people, but they are finding that a lot of them are being purchased by retirees and older people. 01FOCI
" but they are finding that a lot of them are being purchased by retirees and older people." Hmm, guess they are not so cool. So is today’s xB to the current retirement club what Towncars, ParkAvenues and Deville (any caddy for that matter) was to the 80's retirement club? So not cool. Plus most college age kids I know around here at school either drive trash heaps or their parents old car, lots of Cramery's, Accordians, few Tauri and the like around. All with leather, most AC's dont work anymore and power antenna’s,, only if you get out and push and pull on it! Of coarse I go to a state school, Oregon State Univ to be exact so perhaps the mainstream middle class sampling I'm seeing here is not representative of country as a whole. Have to drive to some private colleges and see what’s parked by the elites!
atomcat68
Yuck! Looks like a Mini on roids. And that's not a good thing. If the "roids" are hemorrhoids, then yes it looks like that!
NLPRacing
Something like this might be what kids want anyway - something expressively cool. Look at the Scion Xb. Scion planned the Xb to be purchased by more youthful people, but they are finding that a lot of them are being purchased by retirees and older people. But, when the retirees sell their baby'ed Scion xB a few years from now, then Toyota's intended demographic will probably end up purchasing them. After seeing the quality of their pre-owned Scion (especially since it was owned by an older person who typically takes good care of their vehicles), it may push them into a Toyota dealership for that next new car or truck. Now look at the flip side of that. The same person buys a used rental return 99 Escort that was beat to death and has nothing but trouble with it, what kind of car do you think he'll buy the next time? A Ford? I doubt it, it will probably be a Honda or Toyota. On top of that, he'll probably bad talk Ford the rest of his life. The point is, Ford needs to realize that high quality, low profit, cheap small cars will enable them to sell their more expensive, higher profit cars, CUV's, SUV's, trucks, etc. in the future. To change perception, you HAVE to start at the bottom, like Honda & Toyota both did, and did it very well.
one2gamble
Since this is aimed near my age group Im going to say something you may not like. There isnt anything wrong with this vehicle. Its style is somewhat wild but in production trim it will be fine. More style than the scion box which is horrid imo but this looks proportioned right. Its not as good as the bronco concept but it doesnt carry the baggage that does either. Its fresh and it works, it will also sell if you give it a modern well made interior with competitive power. tim kakouris
nothing at all wrong with that car...it will be a hit in it's market, for sure. ford should be into that market! automotive tastes have changed, thank god, from 20 years ago. Anthony
+ Not horrible. But stylish, basic transportation. Not in my radar, but with some of the things I see kids driving these days, it sure doesn't look any worse.

96 Pony
I likey. It's different and will stand out from the others. And once again, Chrysler takes chances on their styling and doesn't hope that the boring will sell like Ford.

156n3rd
Every auto show I've attended since Scion came out had seniors swarming all over them. Toyota qulaity, low price, no-brainer. They are comfortable little haluers. I like the xB and my wife likes the xA. Were both 52.

Gotta love it...come out with a cheaper car aimed at 20 year olds and the baby boomers are the ones buying them..same thing happened with the Element...college kids are too busy trying to pay off 5 figure college debt in their 20's-30's
