pkoko
worst interior ever in SUV. The Hummer H1's interior blows this one away.
the_spaniard
Wow. I'm just amazed something that massive has a 6.6 0-60 time. Aside from that, "Look, another monstrous SUV when gas is $3.30/gallon! Yaaaayyyyy!" :reading: Yep.
156n3rd
Toyota never has and never will figure out how it's to be done here.Their designers must have impaired vision because their front ends are so blatantly ugly. Yeah, I guess this whole package is ugly. And just imagine what this thing will cost and those Toyota lovers will take them home.
Davew
The stubby front end reminds me of a mini van. Toyota must think that they can sell anything, regardless of how bad it looks.

Mark B. Morrow
You guys must be sooooo happy.....another Toyota for you to bitch and cry about!!!! You must be doing cartwheels Tommy Boy. If the quality of the Tundra is any indicator, Toyota techs will be busy bees. Edited November 17, 2007 by Mark B. tommy8768
Whats the base price of an Expedition, or an Escalade? Not much different I bet.
TomServo92
Whats the base price of an Expedition, or an Escalade? Not much different I bet. The base price of an Expedition King Ranch 4WD is $42,865. The 4WD Escalade starts at $58,330 but I'm sure it has far more luxury bells and whistles than the Sequoia has on it. The Chevy Tahoe LTZ (a better comparison to the Sequoia) starts at $48,485.
2005Explorer
I thought according to the "green" crowd Toyota does not make gas guzzlers!!! Anyhow it's UGLY and the interior looks like it came right out of the Tundra. This is a patch-it up job. To hell with the 5.7L engine, I'd take an Expedition over this horrid looking beast anyday! TomServo92
Base price is more then then most loaded EL Expedition? $50,000 is the base price on the Sequoia Platinum 4WD. That's why I chose the King Ranch for comparison.
rmc523
it looks exactly like a tundra on outside and the dash is horrible. http://www.caranddriver.com/shortroadtests...4wd.html?al=145 That thing is hideous!! Besides the ugly Tundra front end/dash, the rear looks like a new Highlander on steroids --very ugly. I don't know what Toyota's designers have been thinking recently, then again, I guess they haven't.....anybody with eyes can see that all their designs are ugly and uninspired. rmc523
I was looking at a front 3/4 view of the new ugly sequoia, and to me it sorta looks like a Chrysler Aspen.
pcsario
it looks exactly like a tundra on outside and the dash is horrible. http://www.caranddriver.com/shortroadtests...4wd.html?al=145 So it's ok when Ford does it, but god forbid Toyota for not making it entirely different? Anyway... meh.
Mark B. Morrow
If Ford built an SUV that looked like a Tundra with a horrible dash I would rag on them too.

Favorite piece of the article: "C/D observed: 12 mpg" NEVER thought, back in the 80's, that I'd see a 12mpg Toyota outside military purposes. These will sell big in San Jose where a lot of filthy rich Honda/Toyo-ites worship there cars, no matter what reality says! Platinum of course, WITH the gold trim please! OK, but when Ford builds a 381 HP pig, it'll do worse in the mpg arena as well. And if I need that Ford I'll buy it before I' buy any Toyota.
