kevinb120
The FX2 in redfire does look great, I have one right outside my desk on the pad. Maybe I've just gotten used to the curent ram having SO many 07's come through the used car department

Traveler
www.f150cragar.com To me, even the pics don't do the truck justice. They are IMO the best-looking F-150 on the market right now.
Mark B. Morrow
That's a photoshop.. and God is it fugly!! Probably not a Photoshop. Jalopnik story says it's a leak from the Mopar accessory catalog. http://jalopnik.com/cars/detroit-auto-show...-ram-331743.php

rmc523
The bug scoop on the hood has GOT to go. From that link, I noticed the new lockbox/storage area in the top of the bed walls. Interesting place for a storage area.
kevinb120
They also have a new Titan-esque cargo management system available with moveable tie downs in the bed side walls. Great system and incredibly overbuilt(the tie downs are as big as the cleats on a 30' boat), the highly-touted Titan setup hardware is hardly any beefier then what you find on a minivan cargo rack. It also does not interfere with the bed floor in any way. Pretty cool. Edited December 10, 2007 by kevinb120

I hope and assume the new F-150 will have a similar system to go along w/ the tailgate step, post-cabin pre-rear wheel step, and other new features. waymondospiff
I'm a little surprised that no one mentioned this, as this is the first thing that came to my head when looking at the Ram picture. Swept headlamps (albeit in a different location on the fender and sweep down vs. up), bottom-heavy trapezoid grille, straight-across lower bumper. What I don't get with the Ram (if, as Jalopnik is saying, it is true) is what's up with the very femine front fender line gracefully sweeping downward into the door panel? Scott

old_fairmont_wagon
I'd have to say that, if this is really the new Dodge design, they have made some concessions to aerodynamics. They've rounded off the corners just a touch, and it seems that the nose is a little cleaner from an airflow perspective. I believe that they are trying to boost their highway fuel economy numbers a bit. I'd be interested in seeing a cd comparisson between the previous generation and this newer one. bravestar
I noticed too that the rear doors are larger than they are currently.
kevinb120
I didn't even think about the relation to the Tundra. Toyota just apes whatever they percieve as a marketing advantage on any 'new' vehicle. Obviously they were a little concerned about the Sonata when they restyled the camry this time. Pioneer
The Dodge doesn't look that bad. It has a much better look than the Tundra.
kevinb120
I'd take a Ram over a Tundra in a second. I think the color combo they picked for the press shot doesn't exactly do it justice. One-color dark metallic red or the chromeless Sport in black and then your talkin.
Traveler
I noticed too that the rear doors are larger than they are currently. From what I've understood, the Mega Cab will disappear. The Quad Cab is growing to be more comparable to the Ford, GM, Nissan and Toyota Crew Cabs.

Blueblood
Some of you need eye exams, that's the ugliest truck I've seen since the Turdra came out.. The best looking truck made over the past 20 years is the limited F-150, that melted plastic look of the Dodge doesn't come close..
