DCK
When is the Embargo over for them? Are we even sure there is an MKT concepts?
hbalek
According to the NAIAS web site, the Lincoln press conference is at 8:30am Monday morning!
MarkFive
Out of all the new models and concepts being shown, its the MKT that I'm most interested in seeing. For some reason I thought the photos of it were going to be released early this morning. Then again the way it sounds from others posting here, there doesn't seem to be much advanced press to force a publication embargo on. It will represent several things. It will represent Lincoln's continued product-led revitalization along with the new commitment to having different sheetmetal for platform sharing products. Those are the two major things it represents.

suv_guy_19
The lincoln MKThttp://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=124286 Well, it looks like it will be powerful. It looks a great deal like the MKR.
MarkFive
It definitely won't be confused with any other car on the road.
NLPRacing
It's different.
Mark B. Morrow
Clearly a Concept car. It doesn't appear to share anything with the Flex. Pretty cool looking vehicle.
suv_guy_19
I really hope there are more than 4 seats in the production model.

I don't know if it's because that's a bad picture or maybe it's just the fact that it's a concept car, but something doesn't seem right about it. rmc523
I really hope there are more than 4 seats in the production model. I'm sure there will be at least 6, if not 7, like Flex.

If it follows true to concept, i don't know where they will put them...then again the concept doors may be extremely long...they look like it. MarkFive
I agree. I don't know if it's because that's a bad picture or maybe it's just the fact that it's a concept car, but something doesn't seem right about it. I think its the perspective of the photographs. I like the head-on look. It looks menacing. I'm looking forward to seeing additional photographs tomorrow. One things for sure, its got nothing "Flex" about it. I'm looking forward to seeing additional photographs tomorrow. One things for sure, its gone nothing "Flex" about it. That's what I'm thinking. The front looks good. That front 3/4 view looks silly to me. But, as you said, I'll wait for additional pics tomorrow. I agree that there's definitely nothing Flex about it, other than the D3's Flexible designs. NLPRacing
I like the sound of this: In the MKT, the engine can run on gasoline or E85 ethanol. On the latter fuel, output and torque figures climb to 415 hp and 400 lb-ft, respectively. I wonder if all Ecoboost engines will make more HP on E85? Nw that there's finally a place near me that sells E85 and if Ecoboost engines will make make more HP on E85, I will have to get one. I think a Flex w/an Ecoboost35 would do the trick! Mark B. Morrow
The rumour has always been that the Lincoln would be substantially different from the Flex. Certainly it is no badge job. It will be interesting to see more pics from the NAIAS.
MERKURXR4Ti
Can't wait to see it in person, I'm glad Ford stopped the "badge engineering" BS this thing is quite impressive. I don't understand how the current tranny can take 400/415 power in ethanol mode...doubt that'll make it to production. Great job Ford, I love it! Edstock
If you magnify the picture, the car has a trunk, and it seems, 2 rows of seats. The point is, it's not a CUV — it's a big American luxury car, with lots of legroom.

According to Ford's own description, it is a "luxury utility vehicle concept." http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/14/detroit...he-lincoln-mkt/
