Deanh
BlackHorse...I think you hit a nerve....... LOL!...have to do better than that boys...20 years in the car biz gives one pretty thick skin. Later lads...have to go get a manicure, bikini wax, eyebrow pluck and hair streaking....apparently I have a new found image to maintain because I don't agree with several of someones point of veiws.... BlackHorse
not my MO, if it comes off like that I apologize, not my intent and totally mistaken if taken that way, everyone is entitled to theior own veiws, but i will not stoop to name calling and childish prods if someone does not agree with my own conclusions.Simple.....my umbrage is NOT with either of the combatents, its how easily the media manipulates those easily led into beleiving what they put on paper...sure is interesting watching the bait get feasted on.....you don't have to respond Blackie, I can respect that.... Really? saw his talk with Obama...where was the attack?....sure as hell wasn't Barak was it?...blame the press for the digging, and beleive everything they write as factual...sure do when it pertains to that illegal muslim terrorist Obama.....or do as I do and ignore the crap and get branded a supporter for not entertaining the BS they would wish you to beleive...and a lot here are prettily easily led due to pre-conceived bias....note to nap...Media FEEDS on those easily led.....I prefer to sit back and observe from the "other' side of the fence.....and its been pretty dis-gusting and playground like, and a majority is aimed at one guy and one guy only....quit being so naive.... Gosh Nap, apparenlty when he calls you naive and easily led it doesn't count. LOL Also, is it just me or does anyone else read Deanh's posts and see Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory? LOL Sorry Deanh, had to. Edited November 4, 2008 by BlackHorse

NickF1011
And Nick, Obama has stated over and over again that he is not against nuke power plants - his only concern is the safety of the waste. Of course, if you want to volunteer your back yard as a disposal site - then that is a different issue. But either way "green" and new technologies like in the link above - are going to change things. Cop-out. The Democrats have been blocking a national waste repository for years. They don't want to come out being directly against nuclear power because they know most Americans want more nuclear power. Instead they just make it prohibitively expensive and inconvenient to build new plants. Different means to the same ends, only their means make them sound more "responsible".
Edstock
I have to be honest with you Deanh. . . . . . It really is just about the obvious fact that you have a pretty bad inferiority complex and talking down to everyone on the internet is apparently how you cope. Aw, this is just so silly. The anger of denial, denial of political, economic and moral bankruptcy. But when that which you believe in has failed, it takes time to gather a new perspective. As we see it's a lumpy, painful process.

LOL I couldn't care less who you vote for Dean and Edstock. I'm sure you're going to vote for the socialist. I'm voting McCain. All of which has nothing to do with the point I made. Be careful Dean about coming to any sudden stops. With Edstock latched on to your hind quarters it could get uncomfortable. Now as for Nuclear power mentioned above. Heck with Obama's plans to fine the coal industry into oblivion he may have no choice but to accept nuclear. Perhaps he thinks we can do it all by wind and solar. Better yet, let's not forget that fines can be levied on a coal plant right away but the transition to something else takes decades. In the meantime all of us "middle class" folks that he is supposedly looking out for just get to pay much higher utility bills. the_spaniard
Just voted for the Obama. The poll was a block over from my place, with no lines. I just walked over. A homeless guy was in line ahead of me. Record voter turnout here in SoCal, so I hear. What will the boards be like after the election? Quiet? Regardless of who you want to run the country, get your asses out and vote Edited November 4, 2008 by the_spaniard

A homeless guy was in line ahead of me. Record voter turnout here in SoCal, so I hear. What will the boards be like after the election? Quiet? Regardless of who you want to run the country, get your asses out and vote My wife took the day off (one of the attorneys has voting poll challenge duty, and another one is driving people to the polls), and we went to our voting location right at 7 AM. Over a hundred people in line already - some showed up at 6:15 AM, and we didn't get out until 8:20 AM. No people from either side outside passing out literature or anything like that, and the two McCain/Palin and Obama/Biden lawn signs that up at the parking lot entrance at 7 AM were taken down as we were leaving at 8:20 AM. Noon news showed some urban and suburban precincts with two and three hour lines, and then some suburban precincts were busy, but far lighter crowd than that. I doubt that the boards will ever get quiet. Losing side is going to be crabbing, winning side will need reminding not to gloat. And that, I think, applies to all of us. Ford Jellymoulds
A victory for Barack Obama will show the world that the American Dream of equal opportunity for all - black or white, rich or poor - is no mere Hollywood fantasy but a fact of life in the "Land of the free". I hope by tomorrow morning, the US will have its first ever black President-elect, as an example to the world of the true meaning of democracy, equality opportunity and hope. goinbroke2
I heard on the news that the democrates have more registered voters....what the hell does that mean?? You have to register for a party before you can vote?? Here we show picture ID and EVERYBODY in the country votes for who ever they want. It's not like that in the states? goinbroke2
I wish the black guy to be voted in to do that was somebody other than this seemingly "hidden agenda" closet socialist. Too bad the Republicans didn't have a black guy with a female VP, all the racist voters would be confused! If anything this will do more harm to the "black" vote if he messes up the country. If he is such a left wing socialist/nazi/muslim/babykiller/etc then imagine what the chances will be for another non white president? A "normal" person (black/woman/whatever) would of been a better choice than a radical no matter what race/sex/creed/etc We'll see in a few months what the true agenda is. You don't have to register with a party (I didn't), but in many states that means you cannot participate in primaries.

No, in the US you register to vote, whereas here, we are registered to vote without any effort. You do not have to be part of a political party though AFAIK.
