NickF1011
Seems a better car all around. Disappointed the solar panel doesn't do anything more than run a ventilation fan though.

Here's an accessory to go with the Prius: Edited March 25, 2009 by jpd80
pkoko
Good improvement by Toyota. The new instrument Panel is too small and too busy. However, the new interior is nice. Anyone got the official MPG numbers?

Anyone got the official MPG numbers? According to a Autoblog's review, the '09 is 48 city/45 highway, while the '10 increases to 49 city/50 highway. http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/25/first-d...up-big-numbers/
Pioneer
Nice car. Wish it was American so I could buy one.
rmc523
Nice car. Wish it was American so I could buy one. I can agree that it does look better than the previous generations in some ways (interior, maybe the rear, not sure about the front). blazerdude20
seems like everything was improved on the prius, except for the tail lights. wtf happened to those? i wonder if the ride feels a little more real this time around. the last one was a freaking bore

Yeah, the taillights got larger and more deformed than before. You know, I saw a black Prius once with black wheels and blacked out taillights (can't remember if the headlights were too). It actually didn't look too bad. Edited March 26, 2009 by rmc523
Sixt9coug
From the front it looks more like a real car finally. The back looks like I Photoshopped a previous gen with the free transform tool and my mouse slipped. Anyone else think the front looks a TON like a Honda? I never liked center mounted instrument clusters either. Hated them on the Echo, hate them on this too.

I can understand why it's done, but it still looks silly when you have nothing behind the steering wheel but a blank dash panel. The Lexus 250h has a more traditional layout. I read a few more reviews, and I was surprised that Toyota has an optional 17in tire package. Throw some sticky rubber on there and the driving experience won't feel as if you are playing Mario Kart. What is the point of having the guagues in the center? I agree in hating that.
taxman100
I'd be interested in one as a commuter vehicle if a case could be made for it financially. I'm not especially a fan of Toyota, but if I was buying a car full of new technology like a hybird vehicle, I'd only buy from the market leader who has the most experience with it.
