Mark B. Morrow
Dude. My brother just got a rad ten speed. With road tires and drop handlebars. I have one in my basement. It's a Peugeot.
Mark B. Morrow
New Badging I'd have thought the Bigger "F" was directed to GM, Ram and Toyota. I'm happy they got rid of that inefficient hyphen. Man that thing really slowed the whole truck down.
RichardJensen
Sadly, there are no speed holes.

silvrsvt
So back on topic, whats the deal with the Baja Ecoboost Truck being DNF?
jpvbs
So back on topic, whats the deal with the Baja Ecoboost Truck being DNF? In the Baja 1000 they have a number of checkpoints along the way. If you don't make it to the checkpoints by a certain time, you get DQ'd. You can continue but it doesn't count anymore. They apparently did complete the course without any problems though. They put a windshield back on it after the race and drove it back to Detroit. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.643065502416843.1073741836.302031903186873&type=

silvrsvt
As much as I hate to say this, the Baja is more or less the same thing as Sports Cars doing a lap at Nurburgring
RichardJensen
I'd consider it at least one step better, given that it's sanctioned and timed.
silvrsvt
Is there any official records of the trucks time trials? It doesn't make sense if it was only doing 20 MPH between each checkpoint.......Baja or not

It doesn't make sense if it was only doing 20 MPH between each checkpoint.......Baja or not I found this website: http://trackleaders.com/baja1k13i.php?name=227_Steve_Olliges Which, humorously, has the prototype tracked all the way to Phoenix before, I guess, the team figured out it was still on and turned it off. Splits are available at each one of the little points (once you zoom/pan over to them), but I have no idea what to make of them--and they're not splits per checkpoint. akirby
Baja isn't about the time - it's about the abuse and whether the truck can even finish the race or not. Mission accomplished.
