akirby
Not the best song choice. Harry Chapin was killed in a car crash.
Anthony
I literally said "Whoa" when they showed the car. I'm not sure if I like it or not. But I'm glad to see a mainstream vehicle reaching in terms of design (for better or for worse).
akirby
I agree with the overstyled comments.
Dave-S
It looks like typical Nissan styling which I really don't like.
RichardJensen
Ugh. For everything. I don't like "Cat's in the Cradle", I don't like using schmaltz to sell products, I didn't like either of the teams in the Super Bowl, I didn't like how it ended, and that car is, IMO, ugly. "Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?"
PREMiERdrum
20 feet of styling on a 10 foot car. Yeesh.
rmc523
Yeah, they stuck the same ugly new Murano styling on the Maxima. I guess you do have to give them credit for going out of the box, but the result is ugly to me. Not really that surprising, though, given many of their recent offerings. akirby
Not liking Nissan or Infiniti styling inside or out these days. But they are distinctive. (outside the 370Z) Edited February 2, 2015 by akirby
LincolnV
20 feet of styling on a 10 foot car. Yeesh. The perfect description of all things Nissan lately.
rmc523
Not liking Nissan or Infiniti styling inside or out these days. But they are distinctive. (outside the 370Z) Definitely agree. Although I don't think the Q50 is too bad. Certainly better than all their other products.
Dave-S
They have managed to pull an "Accura" in the styling department and are perpetuating much of this poor design through a large portion of their line-up. And when sales don't meet expectations they will probably blame it on everything else other than the styling.
akirby
First Acura. Then Lexus. Now Infiniti. Is there something in the water over there?
rmc523
First Acura. Then Lexus. Now Infiniti. Is there something in the water over there? I've been saying that for years now, since the parent brands (Honda, Toyota, and Nissan, respectively) of those companies have done the same thing. As I've said several times before, I think they have a competition going between themselves to see which of the three companies can make the ugliest vehicle yet still have us Americans buy it.
RichardJensen
Either that, or they're leaning a bit too much on input from their California design studios
grbeck
First Acura. Then Lexus. Now Infiniti. Is there something in the water over there? It's a reaction to the accusations that their vehicles are cursed with boring, forgettable styling. Or, more accurately, an over-reaction to that charge. Acura has toned down the "beak" on its latest products, and is probably the least offensive of the trio. I'd even say that the MDX, RDX, TLX and revamped ILX are good-looking vehicles. probowler
So this is what they meant by this years Super Bowl ads being: "Depressing" Also, HOLY HELL that car is ugly lol, talk about over-kill. I'm also mad at Nissan for ruining Cats in the Cradle.

rmc523
Bulbous is the only word that comes to mind. Seems like all their designs are lately - the worst part of them all are the front fender areas - they always look huge and bloated to me. Anthony
The C Pillar reminds me of the new BMW i vehicles. I've got a feeling that's going to be a new design trend that migrates to a number of vehicles.

grbeck
For some reason that grille and bumper ensemble reminds me of the Rolling Stones album from many years ago. It featured cover art that was simply a big red tongue hanging out of a mouth. Edited February 3, 2015 by grbeck
silvrsvt
Ugh...I dunno I like it for some reason, but at the same time its not going to age very well either. Just too much going on with it. Over styled.... Kinda reminds me of the Mitsubishi Starion...I thought it was ugly at first then it grew on me.
