Emmy
Any news on colors for 2017?
ice-capades
I wouldn't expect any information on paint colors for the 2017 Edge until the official order guide is released to Dealers.
fuzzymoomoo
with exception to maybe adding the White Gold that's popping up on the rest of the lineup, or bringing back magnetic gray, I don't see much changing for 2017
luxpow
I am sure they will do away with "too good to be blue" because thats the best color remaining. Just like they killed "Gaurd" last year.

luxpow
It's being replaced by a very similar color. :-) knew it. Just like they tried to replace "sunset" with "canyon ridge" on the Escape. That new color looks fantastic online but dealers who got it are now holding their heads on how to sell it. The "lightning blue" came out really well on the other side. BORG
Most colors are changed up year to year unless it's Ingot Silver, even Black keeps changing.
akirby
Not most. Some. Ruby Red and white platinum have been around for at least 5 and 9 years respectively. Sterling grey lasted at least 7.
luxpow
If I were Elon Musk, Steve Jobs or the likes, I would create a system where people could get their cars colored in any color they could dream of at the time of taking car delivery. BORG
I think you don't want to have customers choosing colors based on a facsimile or from an abstract perspective. That could end up with allot of dissatisfied customers who don't like the color they picked.

NYT
It's being replaced by a very similar color. How do yo know "Too Good to be Blue" is being discontinued/replaced for 2017? If this is fact, what other changes are being made? Thx!

I don't remember where I saw that - it may have been the order guide for another 2017 model or a fleet guide. I can't find it now but I did see it - somewhere. We'll have to wait for the order guide in a couple of months I guess to confirm.
ice-capades
We just delivered a 2016 Flex SE FWD to a fleet account that was "Too Good to be Blue" and my first impression on seeing it was... BLAH!
blwnsmoke
Here is the 2017 color guide. You can see which colors have Edge listed for to see what is and isn't available. Edited June 17, 2016 by blwnsmoke
fuzzymoomoo
Lightning blue looks badass on the Mustang. I bet it would look good on the Edge too.
NYT
Thanks blwnsmoke!!! Looks like akirby was right; TGTBB is being replaced by "Blue Jeans". A couple new white's also being added... 3 total now Does this guide have any info on changes/improvements for 2017? And is there any info on any price increases? hermans
That Blue Jeans color is really nice. That a look on a dealers lot. Currently Ford trucks and Explorers come in that color.
luxpow
As expected, the trend of removing good colors continues. TGTBB and Bronze fire gone for Edge. Blues Jeans is a good replacement though. I am sure it will be removed next year.
blwnsmoke
I LOVE my Bronze Fire F350.. the maroon/burgundy color in the shade and the burnt orange color in the sun is amazing. And yes, Blue Jeans does look awesome on the Superduty.. I think that would have been my 2nd choice. @NYT - I can't help you with either of those questions. I got the guide from my guy out in MI, don't have it in hand. Edited June 18, 2016 by blwnsmoke

Hence why I'm trying to find out any spec/price changes on the 2017 Edge before August 5th (apparently the last day you can order a 2016 model). Think the 2017 Order Guide will be out before then? ice-capades
It's not likely that the 2017 Edge Order Guide will be released early. It's possible, of course, but rarely happens!
BORG
Meh, I never like Ford colors other than Black or White. Occasionally they'll have a nice red. Edited June 19, 2016 by BORG
goatee
I agree with the lightning blue for the Edge. And I would like to choose any color exterior/interior combination. Ford needs to consider public opinions. Limiting your interior color choices needs to be eliminated. Also, I really think the Sport model needs additional interior color choices.
