SoonerLS
Tomorrow promises to involve a lot of driving, so I stopped by Sam’s for gas on my way home. I paid $2.58/gal for 87 E10.
Rick73
I’m in middle of doing a long road trip also, and saw gas consistently below $3 in most places. Filled up twice yesterday with 87 regular, first at $2.699 and second time at $2.519.

ice-capades
I get frustrated with the update issues that have existed at GasBuddy.com for years. I used to update prices to their site from my desktop computer but often found that only some prices were actually updated at their site. For a long time now, I've updated prices when I'm at the stations, save the changes to my phone via screen capture, but then find the same issues when I later check the GasBuddy.com site. Unfortunately, reporting these issues to their support department is a waste of time.

Connecticut gas prices are historically well above the national averages. State taxes and zone prices are a big factor.

State taxes and zone prices are a big factor. Tulsa’s gas prices used to be among the lowest; back in the ‘90s, they were a good $0.20 lower than in central Oklahoma, but these days they’re usually a good bit higher. I would say that it’s because they shut down the refineries in/near T-Town, but Ponca City has the biggest refinery in the state, and its gas prices are usually close to Tulsa’s.

I always try to fill up in Alabama before crossing into Florida because prices take a considerable jump. At least in Florida Panhandle gas was available under $3 (saw $2.89 at few stations) but once near I-75 and down to Central Florida it’s a different world (pun intended).
SoonerLS
I was just told that the Sam’s where I bought gas at $2.58 on Monday is down to $2.50 today. It was $2.64 on 9/4, so that’s a $0.14 drop in a week. According to someone on a local forum, the place where I normally get gas in Norman is down to $2.48 and some stations in OKC are down to $2.35.
ice-capades
This morning's gas prices in Hamden, CT (New Haven) $3.29 Regular (Cash) @ Gulf $3.29 Regular (Cash) @ Citgo Prices dropping almost daily, but now that Citgo and Gulf are at the same price for regular grade, expect Gulf to drop again after the weekend, if not sooner. Historically, the Gulf station averages at least ten cents lower than Citgo for regular grade. Rick73
I made a second quick round trip from Texas to Florida and averaged well below $3 per gallon. My best tank was at $2.499 in Louisiana on Friday, with a couple of others below $2.59. Only one fill up in Florida above $3 at $3.059. Cheap gas saves a lot on long trips.
Chrisgb
Prescott, Wisconsin, in the shadow of the Twin Cities. Most of the TC metro is $2.99-3.09 for regular, 91 E0 Premium varies widely. The Independent is our sole grocer, consistently the lowest for Premium, plus up to 20¢/gal discount with grocery purchase over $100, or two dozen eggs😜 The Holiday (Circle K soon) premium shown is for E10, their E0 is 10¢/gal higher. The Marathon is our only Top Tier vendor. Edited September 17 by Chrisgb

ice-capades
This morning's gas prices in Hamden, CT (New Haven) $3.27 Regular (Cash) @ Gulf $3.27 Regular (Cash) @ Citgo This morning the Citgo station prices dropped for all grades, matching the regular grade price at the Gulf station and becoming more competitive with Gulf for midgrade and premium blends. I'll expect the Gulf station prices to change again in the next day or so, as Gulf's regular grade price is usually as much as $0.10 less that the Citgo station.
