  1. I love it. I really only have a couple of minor complaints. The engine noise is a bit harsh for a Lincoln. I had a 2019 Nautilus Reserve with AWD and the 2.7L engine. It was much quieter than the 2.5L Atkinson cycle engine on the Corsair GT. I sprung for the 24 way adjustable seats because I loved them on my Nautilus. They are not anything like the comfort of the Nautilus seats. They aren't uncomfortable but they definitely don't have as much padding as I think they should. When I ordered my vehicle the 24 way adjustable seats were a stand alone option at $1100. I think the for 2022 model they are part of a package. Both of these are common complaints I have seen on the Lincoln forum. I got every option on mine except the bigger wheels. I couldn't see plucking down $2000 for 20" wheels. I prefer the 19" wheels that are standard on the GT. I got the Revel audio system too. I love the sound. As for charging, you don't need a level 2 charger. The included charging cable can plug into a 120V 16A outlet or a 240V 20A dual pole outlet with the included adapter. Recharging if the batteries are completely depleted at 120V takes around 11 hours and gets you around 28 miles of all electric driving. Recharging at 240V takes around 3.5 hours. The 240V outlet is a NEMA 6-20R configuration. I had a licensed electrician put in the 240V outlet in my garage. I have almost 950 miles so far and am getting nearly 60 MPG but that does include a lot of city driving on all electric. I have found that you need to engage the ICE a few times per week to keep the 12V battery charged. Otherwise, you get a notice that your vehicle is in deep sleep mode to conserve the battery power.

  4. All the discussion over range, charging station availability and use is good. In my view, what is needed is charging station availability on the scale of the Pilot, Loves, Flying J, TA, and QT travel stop locations along the interstates and other major highways. I recently been driving alot ( 650 to 750 miles a day) in an F150 with a 37 gallon fuel tank and averaging 20 mpg. I usually refueled after driving about 500 miles. I could find at least one of the above travel stops about every 100 to 150 miles, and it would take 10 to 15 minutes to refuel. Usually a fuel stop was not near a destination or when I would normally stop to eat. Now, most of these travel stops had some 30 to 48 fueling points, so with the increased time needed for EV charging there would probably need to be 60 to 100 charging points when EVs have a large share of the market. This can be done, but it will take considerable investment and real estate. Not to mention the electrical generation and transmission infrastructure to support it. For me, strong hybrid or plug in hybrid would be the way to go, as it could cover my day to day 200 or so miles per week use, 300 to 350 occasional miles per day weekend use, and my usual long distance trips. I do not see EVs (such as the F150 Lightning) and the charging infrastructure being up to my needs for at least 10 to 20 years given how long it takes to permit transmission line expansion and generating capacity in the US. (recent example, there has been a proposal to build an offshore wind farm on Lake Erie for the last 25 years. It has been held up by permitting issues and interminable lawsuits, mostly from so called environmentalists, since day one. Another group has a proposal on the table, and there are lawsuits that are holding it up now also.)

  5. Howdy! I'm fairly new to these forums myself, and as I look around the Welcome forums I see a lot of folks like me. Someone who lurked here, doing research before purchasing their (next/first) Ford vehicle. Someone who has (or is about to) take the plunge, maybe even special ordering their new car or truck. Someone who can't wait to learn all about their new vehicle and don't want to pester their salesman until they get thrown out of the dealership. So, I thought it might be nice to collect some of the useful tips I've learned the past few weeks. These are some basic information gathering tasks you can do if you've ordered a new vehicle and can't wait until it arrives. Undoubtedly, you've noticed the "Vehicle Locator By Ford Employees" forum. While it's a wonderful and generous service provided by "someone on the inside," we must always remember it's entirely voluntary and never abuse the privilege. With that in mind, here's ways to keep yourself occupied without needing to pester cyberdman. New Orders When you make a new order for sale or lease, the Dealer (or possibly a Build Manager at their dealership) enters the order into the Ford system. This will generate three things: an order number, the vehicle's VIN, and a projected build date. When tracking your vehicle through the build process, a Ford employee can look things up by either the Dealer Code + the Order Number, or by the vehicle's VIN. For most of the sleuthing we can do, we need the VIN. So when you place a special order, try to get the VIN and projected build date whenever you can. When looking into the status of your vehicle, you might bump up against some of Ford's tracking terms. Some common ones are: Unscheduled - Clean: means the order has reached FoMoCo, and is clean of any production holds. Scheduled or Segemented: means the order is scheduled to a producton segment week. Once you see this, they typically won't accept any further changes to the order. You can find more terms here: http://themustangsource.com/timeline/05/05/DealerStatusInquiryGlossary.pdf Window Stickers One of the first ways to 'track' your order is by grabbing the Window Sticker from Ford. There are two ways to accomplish this: first, by crafting your own URL. Put this into your web browser's address bar: http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin= Then put your VIN at the end of it, and hit enter. You can also click through this link: http://www.researchmaniacs.com/Ford/TrackFactoryCarOrders.html And simply type or paste your VIN into their form. I believe they rely on the same system, but if you're paranoid use the first link; fordvehicles.com is Ford. Now, just because you've placed a special order and gotten a VIN, doesn't mean the Window Sticker will work right away. Window Stickers don't tend to appear until 4-7 days prior to your build date. So this is the first way you can tell when your vehicle is ready to be built. FordEtis Aimed at auto techs, the FordEtis website is an online database for those who service and repair Ford vehicles. It also provides information about specific vehicles by VIN. And not just 'decoding' the VIN (where some basic options can be determined by the letters and numbers), but by actually pulling info from Ford's databases. Go to http://www.etis.ford.com and click on the "Vehicle" tab. Enter your VIN and click "Search." First of all, don't panic if the vehicle it finds doesn't match what you ordered. Especially would-be Fusion owners. Like the Window Sticker generator, your vehicle's info might not show up in the system right away. Early on, you might get errors that the VIN cannot be found. Later, a simple entry might come up with just a few lines of data. The vehicle type might be incorrect, and the build date will show: "30.11.0002". Dates are displayed day/month/year, and 30.11.0002 seems to be a place holder until the actual build date is in the system. Even more later, often on or just around your build date, the entry should fill out with more info, including your actual build date (note: it might not match the project date your Dealer gave you), as well as an expanding section called "Minor Features" which lists all the build options your order did or did not take. Rail Tracking And finally, if you've been on the forums awhile and use the Vehicle Locator by Ford Employees forum, eventually you'll learn when your vehicle is complete and placed on a railcar for shiping to you. Like me, you're probably bouncing off the walls at this stage wanting to get your hands on your hot, new, little car or truck. How to do it? If you post to the tracking forum for an update, and you get a message like this: Your vehicle is on the move. To track the railcar, call CSX at 1-800-235-2352 When prompted for location or weight, press 1 or say "location". When prompted for the car initials, say "ETTX" or press 32-81-81-92. When prompted for the car number, say or press your 6 digit ETTX car number. When prompted for the next car, press ## or say "Done". A recorded voice will tell you the last known arrival or depature location of your railcar. Most times, it won't provide an ETA (and anyways, it's likely not an ETA related to your vehicle specifically). Facebook Some friendly Customer Service reps have Facebook accounts where you can ask questions. Keep in mind, this is publicly visible, so I wouldn't go posting anything you don't want the whole world to see. Tina Megan now has the original account: http://www.facebook.com/FordCustomerService Eric is the other: http://www.facebook.com/FordCustomerService2 This now appears to be the new 'official' page: https://www.facebook.com/FordServiceUS ---- I'd like to thank all the kind and knowledgable folk on these boards, from whom I was able to compile these tips and tricks. If anyone else has any tips or info, please post below. Mods, if you feel this would be useful, could you make this topic a sticky? Thank you!

  6. So 15k per month F-Series outside the US seems about right. I didn't know this before but I googled Ford Middle East sales results and apparently F-series is the top selling vehicle in several of the smaller GCC countries - just like the US.

  7. Thanks for the review. We only sat in the Corsair. Riefly but I thought the seats were very similar to the Nautilus, but maybe not based on your experience. That’s one of the main goals is seat comfort. Aviator is also a possibility but wife thinks it will be too big (mind you she’s driven older explorers, an expedition and an 1st Gen Aviator. I would like just a bit more space than the MKX. Also frustrating the Nautilus has no hev or PHEV options.

  8. The trackers have been messed up for days. My interior color switched to black onyx on the tracker but the window sticker link still shows marsala. Nothing is pulling on the mach-e tracker either.

  9. Yeah - maybe don't bother them with that. They don't want to hear about how they can better do their jobs from what someone else said on the internet. All they do is read you the latest status they have if they have the time to look it up. You telling them how to do things is only going to piss them off and to only work as hard as they have to to help you. Second - and maybe the biggest WTF... why didn't you provide me with your VIN? You say your vehicle is already built and being shipped, so why didn't you provide your VIN? All that other stuff is relevant and helps me find your order until you get a VIN. And yes I really do have to find your order. When you have a VIN - that belongs to 1 and only 1 vehicle. There is no searching; there is enter your VIN and find your vehicle, done. Here is your status: In Transit - Shipped Rail - Railcar # TTGX942445 (Csx Transportation ) Ramp 1K, Kentucky Truck, KY Nov-30-2021, 14:08 ET. ETA Dec-18-2021. Now that you have a railcar number I look forward to you telling the rail people how much better they can do things. /s

  16. I am running 35% over the front two windows and 50% over the factory tint. Bought the truck when I live in WA state and needed to keep it legal and not to dark. Live in Phoenix, AZ now and did the wife’s car with 15% over side windows and over factory tint. Nice and dark! I have an F350 on order and will likely do the 15% all the way around on it as well. We need it here for heat rejection however, the added privacy is nice as well.

  21. Provisional Mortality Data — United States, 2020 In 2020, approximately 3,358,814 deaths occurred in the United States The age-adjusted rate was 828.7 deaths per 100,000 population, an increase of 15.9% from 715.2 in 2019. The highest overall numbers of deaths occurred during the weeks ending April 11, 2020, (78,917) and December 2020 (80,656). Death rates were lowest among persons aged 5–14 years (13.6) and highest among persons aged ≥85 years (15,007.4); age-adjusted death rates were higher among males (990.5) than among females (689.2). During 2020, COVID-19 was listed as the underlying or contributing cause of 377,883 deaths (91.5 per 100,000 population). COVID-19 death rates were lowest among children aged 1–4 years (0.2) and 5–14 years (0.2) and highest among those aged ≥85 years (1,797.8). Similar to the rate of overall deaths, the age-adjusted COVID-19–associated death rate among males (115.0) was higher than that among females (72.5). Yet in the US we intend to mandate, suggest or out of fear vaccinate the lowest effected groups. With less than a years' worth of research data The 2020 over 2019 increase in deaths can`t be contributed to only Rona because of the yearly percentage increases across the board. But... that is what we are to interpret from our information outlets.

  22. I don’t know if you have heard, but there is a chip shortage. Vehicles are hard to come by as a result. Ford and the Mach-E is not the only vehicle experiencing markups. Try getting a Bronco, or a Telluride, or any number of other vehicles. Tesla is not immune to ADM, they just call it a price increase. https://electrek.co/2021/11/12/tesla-increases-model-y-prices-again-new-incentives-coming/amp/

  26. You're still underestimating the number of dodge buyers ( cars and trucks and SUVs ) who only want a loud V8. For them it’s not about how fast it is. Now that’s a subset of buyers but I don’t see Dodge selling as many BEV vehicles as their ICE counterparts.

  27. I've watched reviews of people who went long distances in EVs. The compromises to do so (and I have no personal experience with the charge time, though the 10-20 minute full charge seemed optimistic) are beyond my personal willingness to endure. Also, everything I've read says the fast chargers degrade the batteries. I'm not sure I'm down for shortening the life span of my battery pack. Also, forcing me to navigate based upon charger locations (and I've seen plenty that were full or broken) is a big "ask." If you're willing to make these sacrifices, please, by all means, go do it. But it's not for me. Like I said, I'm almost certain to replace our hybrid with a plug-in later next year, but even the longer-ranged Mach-E is too limiting.
