  1. First the niceties. Thanks to everyone here. I consider this my first stop for up to date information and honest answers. Now the problem. I have a 22 F250 Platinum with the 6.7. It currently has 7800 miles on it. When this truck had approximately 3000 miles I saw that the DEF tank was half full, and since I was at walmart, I got a jug. I added the 2.5 gallons and thought nothing of it. Immediately after, say within 50 miles, I noticed a drop in mpg and the truck felt more sluggish. This wasn't .5 of a mpg, this was 2.5 mpg. From a solid 19 to 16.5. I didn't think too much about it, blamed it on my heavy foot from time to time, and kept on driving. Not long after, I got my first check engine light and the dreaded 50 miles to 50 mph warning. I took it to two dealers. The first basically wanted me to leave the truck for a week while they did nothing to it, but the second was able to help me that day. Just like most here, it is a work truck with bed slide and camper top so I can't just leave it or switch vehicles but I digress. That dealer told me the injector was bad for the DEF, replaced it under warranty and sent me on my way within 2 hours. Fast forward to last week when filling up at a truck stop, I noticed that I had 500 miles to empty for the DEF again. I used the pump to put 6.2 gallons of DEF in it and filled er up. Strangely now I seem to be having the exact same issue with it as I did when the injector went bad the first time. My mpg has dropped to 16.5 again, and the truck is definitely down on power. So far I haven't seen the check engine light nor have I gotten any warnings, but I am concerned that something is terribly wrong. First, am I doing something wrong? I don't believe I am, but want to ask. Secondly, what could be happening to my basically brand new truck? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  4. Affirmative, Super Dutys will be scheduled for week of 2nd May. Ice Capades posts this information every week in the Production & Sales Board. He posted next week's scheduling info yesterday.

  5. Now think about this though' glue a piece of plastic astroturf to that bottom step. Then with a bottle of water you can clean the crud off the bottom of your shoes/boots before you get in. Not so silly now, eh? You could even attach a bottle holder to the top step so it right there when you need it if you remember to fill it. And keep a wash cloth and drying towel in the door pocket. It would be like a little valet service. Now if there was a good way for it to dispense martinis.....

  6. Ford is doing everything possible to schedule, produce and deliver retail Mustang Mach-E orders. Production of certain models is sold out for the 2022 Model Year and orders with the extended range battery packs are taking longer to schedule due to commodity restraints. Demand vs. supply has exceeded expectations and Ford is doing everything they can to increase production in order to meet the demand for the Mustang Mach-E which continues to receive rave reviews. The wait will be worth it!

  7. I agree. I purchased that home station for that reason. The advantage of refueling in your sleep. As far as long distant travel the new road way technology will be here before we know it and you will only need to stop for restroom breaks. That is forseeable

  8. That may be true, especially on volume orders if parts for the option are still available. For example, the E85 compatibility option no longer shows on ford.com's build and price page, but mine was built with it in January and I've noticed the option on a couple other Transit Connects built recently.

  11. Talk to your Dealer and make them do their job for starters. If there's only one unscheduled order ahead of you, you shouldn't have to wait much longer. You might also discuss whether they'll contact their Ford Zone Manager about having the Ford regional office re-prioritize your order. As to why someone who supposedly ordered a truck two weeks ago is already scheduled, take it for what it's worth as an online post. There are issues with dozens of suppliers, the ongoing microchip shortages, interrupted plant schedules, commodity restraints, a tremendous volume of retail orders and differences in market sizes, Dealer sales volume and allocation, quality of dealership management related to order bank management, etc. There are thousands of possible build combinations and too easy to think someone else's truck is the same as yours and wonder why their order got scheduled and yours didn't. There are simply too many factors involved and not enough time to get involved. Again, talk to your Dealer and more specifically, talk directly to the sales manager. Very few sales representatives are familiar with the retail order and scheduling process and/or the resources available.

  12. Based on production dates on the old spreadsheet posted on the FTE Forum, the plant does work Sat & Sun, if they have sufficient parts available.

  15. When I was in HS, long bed meant 10' or more. The vast majority of pickups were 8' ergo standard. Of course, the vast majority were 2 door also. I guess as 4 doors became more standard, bed length shortened.

  16. Except on the movie "Cannon Ball Run" where Jackie Chan and co-driver opened the hood of their Subaru and the assembler was still under the hood putting parts on the car, LOL...

  17. When the truck is completed it goes to a nearby facility that installs the 5th wheel prep, tonneau covers, bed liners and other accessory type items.

  20. The WBDO Preview clearly shows the Black Appearance Package without Spray-In Bedliner (17M) so you should be good. If you've never received e-mails from Ford, you should make sure the Dealer attaches your e-mail address to the order in WBDO (Web Based Dealer Ordering) system and has submitted your order information with your signed Buyer's Order and Driver's License for registration in the COVP (Customer Order Verification Program) to qualify for incremental allocation and priority scheduling. You might also want to ask them how many unscheduled Super Dity retail orders are ahead of you and whether they can assign a lower priority code for you.

  24. Looking at it, I actually received the same email twice within a half hour! This two is the only communication from Ford since I received my order confirmation email on January 4th. Not as long as some on this forum, but still pretty long with nothing. I guess this is something ?

  25. No, they changed the locks so cover locks to rails not tailgate. Tailgate can be opened with cover closed and locked

  27. @787Toolman for me, I just try to see the positive side to the delays. I don’t need the rig by any specific time, so I just go with the flow… and continue to find more and more ways to spend money on her! ? @JT42 @tcritch3 and @Gharri30 are all bad influences. Between those three alone, I’ve probably already spent close to a grand, and now I’m going to order mud flaps ??‍♂️ ? But I digress. Now that I’m in production, I at least know that the wheels of progress are turning. Before I canceled my first order I placed in November and placed the new one in February I wasn’t confident I was ever going to see a new rig. So as they say, laughter is the best medicine

  28. I would love to see pics of Rapid Red LineX. I thought about it, but couldn't find any pictures so I went with black on my '22 Rapid Red F250.

  29. @tcritch3 of course it’s going on the list. We love spending money on accessories for rigs we don’t even have yet… but will soon! I really really really have to stop reading this thread, because now I need one of these! I forget who said it, but to quote him, this forum is dangerous ?

  30. Looks good. I have a Diamondback on my current truck and plan to go with the same if my 2022 order ever shows up. I can haul up to 1600lbs on top of it. Solid and secure product.

  31. I suspect the ‘major redesign’ they everyone was thinking will happen for the 2023’s won’t happen. They can’t even build all the 2022 orders they have now. Strictly speculation on my part but, I think it’s going to be pushed out to 2024.

  32. I agree, my wife’s 21 F-150 has adaptive cruise and lane keeping, if the truck is fighting you all the time you probably just don’t know where you are in your lane as much as you think you do. ( I think that’s why she hates it) I used to tell her all the time she’s gonna drive right off the road lol.

  33. I LOVE adaptive cruise

  34. If you are unscheduled clean then you have to wait 2 weeks before you ask again. After this next round this week of trucks being scheduled I would ask your dealer again where you are in the queue. You and your dealer get an email when your order gets scheduled

  35. I like that a lot, guess it’s going on the list!

  36. I personally think the opposite. Unless I'm going on a road trip, I never have to be inconvenienced by refueling. I just plug in when I get home and don't think about it. I won't be in a situation where I'm running late for work then suddenly realized I'm low on gas and need to drive over to the gas station before heading in.

  37. I just got the color match Line X on my Atlas Blue F-250. I love how it turned out. It added $300 to the cost, but when we've already dropped $75k on the truck...
