  1. After 3+ years of price gouging customers with ADM's and useless options, maybe the Dealers would like to see a survey of how trustworthy THEIR customers feel about them,,,,, HRG

  3. Canada and the EU also have CETA agreement. Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement with the European Union which is a free trade agreement. Supposedly we at OAC are suppose to export there too. If these vehicles are 7 seaters what’s the point of exporting them to Europe when smaller vehicles seem to rule there anyways. I doubt the Mach e would ever be built in Oakville as well but I’m just saying there is a free trade agreement in place up here too.

  4. So, the distrust is based on Ford’s EV sales strategy. For example, tying Ford specialty vehicle allocation to dealerships’s EV sales. I can see why something like that would generate distrust.

  6. Wonderful. Now there will be more people that don't have a down payment using the tax credit as a way to purchase an EV they can't afford. HRG

  9. Until the competition start getting reviews that end with "You should buy this over a Tesla" Tesla have no reason to do MCEs. The competition is still catching up to what Tesla released 4, 5, 6 years ago...

  10. Transit Connect aerodynamics are impressive, coast down takes a half mile of so and the rear is well shaped for towing trailers- Pulled a motorcycle on a trailer this weekend and the MPG barely dropped at all.

  11. See, if this boxy Kia thing is already quite areo efficient, why didn't Ford adopt this styling direction for their BEV three row? It seems like they went for the science project design direction, with little benefit over conventional form factors. That's assuming, of course, that a largish 7 seater isn't gonna be able to get the drag coefficient much lower than 0.28 figure the Kia offers. Just seems like they played themselves. The thing is, Ford got it, until they didn't. EVs work when your development strategy is keep things fresh, which they haven't with the mach-e and lighting. They'll occasionally show off some new trim level, but they usually come across as half assed. Whereas brands like Kia are crushing it when it comes to their new EV offerings. Ford is making the same mistake they always seem to make, coming out with an excellent series of products, and then letting them go stale, watching sales crater, and wondering what went wrong.

  12. The Coyote in the Mustang is rated about 80 hp more than in the F-150 even without a blower so it doesn't surprise me that it would be about the same difference when both have the same supercharger added. Here's the Tremor with all four new tires installed.

  14. As I anticipated, the moving target of a production date for my F350 Platinum has changed 4 times since the strike ended. Went from 12/25/23, to 12/18/23, back to 12/25/23, and now today it moved out to 1/1/2024. Again, not surprised. I'm a sadist and check the status WAY too much, lol.

  15. Someone really needs to pound into Ford's head that not every model needs to sell millions of units and have a 5 grand profit margin to make it worth developing. This obsession with higher end products is killing Ford, they're Ford, they exist to be an affordable brand. Figure your shit out Ford, because if you can't find a way to make a 30k EV affordable, your rivals damn sure will. They talk about EV adoption rates slowing drastically. It doesn't take a genius to figure out a large component of that has to do with most compelling EVs being at least 50 grand, usually well over that. People can't buy cars they can't afford, especially in a recession. I know battery packs are expensive, but damn, other people are making it happen, I'm fairly certain the bolt is sub 30k, especially once you factor in the $7,500 tax credit. Just don't jam a bunch of needless tech and features into the car if you're trying to make it affordable. Put the maverick designers and engineers on the front lines for this. They nailed the execution on a 20k product, they can knock it out of the park for a 30k product.
